    the 70's

    Big venue - big shows...

Led Zeppelin - Los Angeles 1977
    Queen - Los Angeles 1978

    the 80's

Stevie Ray Vaughn - Los Angeles
    The Who - Los Angeles
    Grateful Dead - Los Angeles
    Bruce Springsteen - Los Angeles

small venue: Etta James, Albert King, Buddy Guy, Bonnie Rait, Johnny Winter, and more.

    the 90's

mostly small venue blues shows. Most memorable...

Buddy Guy, May 1996, House of Blues Hollywood CA. For my birthday my wife arranged for us to go to HOB , Foundation level, nice dinner in the exclusive club, great show with my favorite living musician, THEN... getting to meet him!!!!

I went to many blues festivals, in the 90's I went to Long Beach blues festival 4 years in a row. Benson Hedges Blues festival, and more.

    2000- current

    Bruce Springsteen- Dodgers stadium 2003

    Great Big Sea

If we can count when we were small...

Fred Penner ( I actually got to be a part of his christmas show in a childrens choir ... even if I was a senior member and only there as mentor for the little ones when I was 17. Highlight of my musical life !)
    and
Raffi (who rocks my socks too)

    Tears for Fears
    Billy Joel
    Kansas
    Styx
    Kenny Rogers
    Tim McGraw/Faith Hill Tour

The first concert I ever went to was a Day on the Green in June 1980...Journey, Black Sabbath, Molly Hatchet and Cheap Trick. Talk about induction into concert life!!! It was over 100 degrees at the Oakland Coliseum and the stadium ran out of ice! However, when Journey sang "Wheel in the sky" it was all worth it.

We saw Olivia at the Oakland Coliseum. The show started out with some instrumental music and a slide show on a huge screen... then she walked through the screen. It was definitely a larger than life moment for my sis and I. My parents had tears in there eyes watching us sing along to every song. I'll remember that time forever.

Sorry, I'm sure you can guess we reacted that way because dad put concert tickets in our hands.
