    You're right, Big Thunder. As a lifeling Bay Area resident, I think traffic in the Bay Area often rivals So. Cal traffic.

Unless I want to take a 4 hour bus ride and go 30 miles out of my way. But if there were say a train or something along those routes I would take it. But in LA most people just dont want to even try.

    It infuriates me that there is no viable public transportation in this town. I grew up outside of Philly and took public transportation (train, bus and subway) everywhere.

    hmmm... I substitute teach, so it really depends one which school I go too. First I spend aprox 20 min going the 11 miles down the mountain. Once in San Berna-ghetto it can be anywhere from another 30 seconds for a 1/2 mile to 25min for 7 miles to the other side of town.

    DH has traveled up to 120 miles each way. Luckily right now he's only 40 miles, and that's super close for us! Being an electrician he's all over the bay area.
