looks like Hunter over at bluesky has leaked some more info than what i had mentioned.

the following was asked here and its news to me but there is so much going on that anything is possible

"Another key fixture of the area likely to go is the sun face on the Sun Wheel. Current proposals are to take the face off and replace it with a Mickey Mouse face. This face would be used to hide various electronics and lasers that will be projected from it during the water show in 2009."

also if you read the rets of the article he mentions a bit more of what i had said about another "E" ticket for Paradise pier coming soon. I had not mentioned its location because its still being worked out but bluesky does ive the possible two locations.

One being the lefthelix and the other being the west helix of screamin.

Yes Maliboomer is going bye bye. Expect Orange stinger to stay though.

since so much info is being leaked out guess it won
't hurt to say that everything north of orange stinger is also going bye bye. Theonly thing that will be saved is Zephyr and relocated.

    well enjoy

Remember in one post that someone asked if there would be any non character based attractions?

i hinted that some might even replace an area with characters. well Hunter just leaked the location.

The brother bear play area IS being looked at to possibly be removed and replaced with more fully realized attractions. One being the other "E" ticket I had mentioned in the 10 year project.

Things keep changing and some things might end up happening sooner then we realize

Which is just great, because it's what everyone is saying they are doing too much of already.

I am glad the zephyr is staying it is a very nice ride, actually. Just about the only one on the pier I actually can ride on without getting off and puking.

I haven't been to DCA in a while. Is the Brother Bear Play area the former Redwood Creek Challenge Area? If so, first, ugh at THAT change, and second, too bad it'll go, it seemed to be popular when I was there. What will replace it? Another character based ride though?

Probably the fact that everything in Carland is referencing Pixar’s Cars movie and not at all oriented towards California’s car culture."

I am sorry but where does this info come from?

    not exactly right

i am not exactly pleased with this idea of the mickey face. I had not heard about this and hope its not true. First of all the sun worked fine on the sunwheel secondly there is already a mickey head on the Scream'n loop.

Unless they are goign ahead with the villian overlay.

yes the brother play area was the Creek Challenge Area. Its basically the same the minor changes were an added meet and greet show in the small stage and a carved totem pole of the bears at the entrance.

and no it would not be character based.

Look at Toy Story Mania. Notice how a portion of the attraction is in front of Screamin. The main show room is behind.

Remember all of the lattice work on the coaster is there for visual theming. some of that could be removed to allow access to the back.

Anything built in front of the coaster could be connected to the backstage area.

Theming? But...I have always read that the coaster is unthemed. How could it have theming if it is unthemed?

don't always believe what you read :)

The lattice was placed to make the coaster look more like a wooden coaster. If they wanted to have gone the cheap route like many say, they could have just left the steal structure and nothing else.
