Good dodge there! But many others can see through it!

Oh I just can't let this go, it's too easy. So here it goes, honestly, for the very last time.

Just to give you a bit of clarity, and for your future knowledge, the DISNEYLAND RESORT, consists of Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, Downtown Disney which includes the Grand Californian Hotel complex, the Disneyland Hotel complex and the Paradise Pier Hotel complex.

Also, there is a massive parking garage as well as off site parking for guests and employees too.

I am trying my utmost to not tell you what to do with your banana, but I do honor the standards of the LP community.

So instead, I will wish you a Disney Day!

Where is the value in arguing with someone who simply wants to argue for the sake of arguing?

That is precisely what this new poster wants.

He is arguing simply for the sake of arguing.

He hates LaughingPlace because they've banned him dozens of times. He hates the fact that LP is still going strong, even after his chronic disruptions as sock puppet du jour.

It's obvious that his primary goal is to shut the website down through lack of readership. He's attempting to accomplish this by creating new accounts and starting endlessly arguments with other posters to the point they get fed up and stop posting. And with every "gotcha!" strawman argument he poses, several LP posters will rise to the occasion and take the bait, like the lemmings being herded off the cliff into the sea by Disney photographers.

Here are some hopefully helpful words to my fellow LP posters:

    1) If a screen name isn't familiar to you, click on it and check to see if the poster has recently joined.

    2) Read various posts from the new account before engaging the person, to see if they're insulting or dismissive of other posters, or just plain impossible to make sense of.

    3) If the new poster is being abusive to other posters, ignore him and report the topic to the moderator.

If you keep responding to this guy, he will simply worsen in his behavior. This is why he's been banned multiple times in the past. He feeds on this stuff. He gets off on slamming down other posters by trying to make them feel bad about themselves with insults, or misinterpreting their posts in order to justify another endless argument. He loves to argue and argue and argue, so responding to his posts simply feeds his desire to continue arguing.

Don't give in to this guy. Just ignore him and eventually he'll give up and leave. He always does.

So, CRAPshoot, I must say, can I PLEASE have the phone number? You know, of the person who is teaching you such great tap dancing lessons!

Ha, 202, such BANANAS. And it's funny as you too have stated this several times, yet, you yourself do not practice what you preach! You are directly reacting to my posts!

That being said, Skinner, you are SO off base on this. Follow the logic of this post. The initial post was a well written HONEST essay about my experience on TLM. And other's kindly responded to it. Then came the "bully" post, post 31. Who stepped into this with a very "its my way or no way" attitude. And other's actually agreed with that. X at FIRST (until he drank the Kool Aid) then post 80 or 81, DOOMBUGGY.

Add to this, I have posted in other areas, including a nice, gentle Topic I created about the ZOETROPE at DCA. Not typical "troll, I hate Disney" behavior. Add to this, I shed a BIG tear with the death of Wally Boag. Someone who I have seen perform in a show I so greatly miss.

So, you will see that, in fact, I am NOT a hater of Disney. Though there are some here who, if you do not agree with them, persons who like to argue for the sake of arguing, they feel this power to bash, call persons trolls, whatever, mainly because others are not seeing it their way. And that they too are wrong or at least need to be able to respect the POV of others. I have clearly stated in previous posts the I am NOT right. It's the way I see things.

Whatever happens, that is fine. This topic is close to hitting 200 and I am at least proud to express the main message to others that, you may be smart to avoiding TLM ride if wait time is over 10 minutes as it certainly is a pretty depressing disappointment.

This guy has used so many different handles Bob that it's practically impossible to even list them all. At one point he was in WE as Beau, got banned, and continues to resurface with a new name each time he gets banned again. Just this week it seems that he's been posting under three different guises. I suggest you ignore his posts and any threads he starts because his main purpose here seems to be to pick on people and start arguments.

More like a dozen or so.

Several got banned quickly. Others (like this one) remain available to him.

    The latest one is "Dreamz".

    What a loser.

Post 202 is very useful in dealing with pest control Reporting to the admins is the best remedy of all. Don't engage the hostile, it's not worth it.

I have been very clear to Admin about this particular topic. And that, many others on this topic (now at 210 messages strong!), have engaged in a nice gentle dialouge. Now, I am going to name names and point out, once again, post 31 and Dr. Hans. Not only bullying into this topic (which you X was even commenting on AGREEING that he shouldnt be bullying others). As did DOOMBUGGY. So sad, as, one can easily so, from the very first post, this was a well thought out topic. My overall feeling is that there are, in fact, too many "I LOVE DISNEYLAND! THEY CAN DO NO WRONG!" Cheerleaders on this board who simply will attempt to stomp on you if you say something wrong. Which is sad. But, in the end, at 210 messages, the point has been made and I and many others are happy! Now come join in the great conversations going on at my 5 other threads on LP!

"AND.....if this is not all clear enough for you.....GO AWAY!"

    Yes, Dr Hans...YOU HEAR THAT??!!

From a great Little Mermaid Review thread from Miceage who agree the ride sucks as much as I do:

Ok, so its soft-opened at this point so reviews are fair game. I couldn't find a thread on the topic (just videos and soft-opening announcements), so if I'm posting in a dupe then please move this over to the appropriate thread.

Please don't post a review if you haven't ridden. Not cool, and frankly almost all the 'reviews' I've read here are from people who haven't ridden and seen videos. Huh?

    SPOILERS -

I've ridden, and I didn't like it. First off, the building - inside it looks like a Las Vegas mall. Yes, the detailing is great but not ornate. It's tacky in a lot of ways, including the construction methods and the lack of intricate architectural features. Yes, there are great things added all over that are nice. But compared to the Victorian architecture across the lake it's bland and looks like a mini-mall. The load area tile and parts of the queue are just 80's mall looking. The load mural is great, though. Nemo queue at EPCOT blows it away.

The ride itself - I had high hopes, and the ride didn't meet my expectations. The Under the Sea area was bright and loud, and wasn't overwhelming. The room actually looked like the end of the old ET ride. It was nice - but not overwhelming. When you come out of the HM attic or into the pirate ship scene on Pirates it's a feeling of epic awesomeness. Not here. I was hoping for wet-for-dry effects a la TDS but there were none on the attraction. In fact, an 'underwater' attraction should have tons of unique and new effects, right? None that I saw, actually. Winnie the Pooh's rain scene blows anything in this attraction out of the water (pun not intended). The animation sections are all done by CGI, and are jarring even though nicely animated. I can watch a movie at home, thank you, telling a 3 dimensional story via film is lazy, unnecessary, and implies a lack of space/budget.

Their editorial decisions throughout the ride just have me scratching my head in awe of how ridiculous they were. Have you ever seen a Japanese cartoon where total randomness happens and you just kind of wonder what the heck were they thinking? Welcome to TLM. Ariel gets legs (via animated screen), jumps to Kiss the Girl, then the ending? Huh? Huh? What? The epic end battle with Ursula reduced to a tiny cardboard cutout (I mean TINY for forced perspective, maybe 2 feet tall in the far back of the room and not animated). It's crazy what they did, crazy. They butchered it completely. They either ran out of budget, space, or both but it's simply inexcusable. There is NO STORY here, folks. NONE. It's disjointed and weird, and makes no sense. The meetings decided between an AA Scuttle figure, or having an actual climax? They went with the Scuttle rather than making sense. Ridiculous.

I'm livid about the way they told the 'story'. Note that I worked for WDI, this isn't a random annual paasholder rant. It's absolutely clear that this was not the attraction they intended. The good? Great AA figures. That's about it.

    Not a cappy hamper."

Just saw the opening video posted on LP here and this whole area looks fantastic. DCA has my attention -big time. I look forward to seeing this in person after carsland and buena vista street are complete. ( Side note: By the way, is the existing train going away? I see they removed the seating area. )

Back to mermaid - The whole mermaid area - inside and out - is just oozing charm. The way this building lights up at night is just stunning. It is crazy to hear people bashing this. Then again, when the whole Pooh bashing was going on I was also dumbfounded. After riding both the FL and DL versions I couldn't see what all the fuss was. They were both nice charming dark rides. I understand they are not the Tokyo versions which has that beautiful ride system but I still enjoyed the Pooh rides. It seems mermaid is on the level with the new Pooh by the photos. Maybe in person Mermaid is a step above.

I have also been on Cat In The Hat at Islands Of Adventure which impressed the hell out of me. That to me was the new standard for a truly modern dark ride. It had the zip of a zany fun house just like Roger Rabbit. The mermaid is just a different type of ride and it looks very well done. Yeah Disney !!!
