It fits in between .. so that's why I give it a "D Ticket" rating. We could use the school grading system .. F to A. The number scale system: 1 to 10. Or 4 or 5 star system. But because this is Disney .. and they did have a ticket rating system for a long time ... It seems to make sense to use their own, longtime, ticket rating system. Sure .. it gets complex ... with maintenance cost, popularity, and so many other factors ... But if you just break it down to the basics (scale, and scope) Using the Fantasyland dark ride 'C's to the Large E "Spectacles" as the key reference points ...... I easily call Little Mermaid a bona fide "D".

I have to be honest, I am surprised that, when DCA talked about putting a billion into the park, they simply did not throw out the California Theme and went with something like "Disney's Greatest Hits", "Pixar Park" or heck, Disney's America! Im gonna hope that the lighting on the UNDER THE SEA scene is NOT final. Though I am betting that, with so close to June 3rd, it is. At the least, imagineers can salvage this dud of a ride with lighting that makes you feels more UNDER THE SEA (which will also help with the plastic look) and by picking either CG or Hand Drawn animation and go with one (and for me, it's not even close: Hand Drawn is the way we KNOW Aerial. Go with it!)

And, let's face it, why take all those pics anyway, while there are 1000's of high res pics and videos to choose from online free at your disposable by sites, posters, who give you permission to take and use as you wish? Relax, ride the ride and stop spoiling it for others with your flashing, thank you.

TLM feels Cish to me, however, all of the Fantasyland dark rides are better rides.

We should heed his words because it is the stronger among us who is first to flip the "thumbs down" category. Once I figured out the tenor of the first post, I refused to read it. And not because I wanted to avoid spoilers, but only because I had it pegged that the poster was NOT able to be objective. In other words, I will figure out the qualities of the attraction for myself.

I just don't see the same style but I am not as familiar with the real troll from days of long ago in the beginning. I hesitate to post anything lately because of the clique mentality that seems to be forming and everybody has to be pro DL/antiWDW. I just don't want us to be so suspicious of every new poster that we lose the good with the bad. I probably should have used a new id now! My feelings are very quiet but I just felt we all need to be reflective or cautious. Sincerely,MMC

I will ride next week and present my opinion.
