Funny, to some of you, you say something great about Disney, yea! Everyone is happy! You say something negative, boo! You are a Troll!

I always try to give new posters the benefit of the doubt, unless it's obvious that they are returning from a ban. Like I said, the sock puppet thing was extremely fishy, and I'm going to wait and see what else happens. But jumping the gun to "report topic" on a new poster when he hasn't done a single thing to violate community standards is premature, in my opinion. If it's Beau, it'll be obvious quickly enough. Don't worry.

X, this just gave me a tear in my eye. This is precisely correct. Sift through this entire thread and show me a violation of community standards. On the other hand, post 31 is considered "Flame throwing" in many communities. Posters are having a nice conversation, then, boom. Someone from left field throws a fire bomb into the conversation. All I did here was post an honest essay. That branched out into many insightful conversations. Though I challenge anyone here to find a post that I posted, cut/paste it, then tell me how that violated community standards?

But thats not for them to decide and make false accusations. That is for the ADMIN to decide. And he/she can speak to me personally and I will confirm I am not any previous nudnick from before. Perhaps this community should attain an ip address reader to keep away former nudniks? Post 129 Bananas! 3 FULL TREES FULL! (admin, talk about an abuse of community standards!)

I do agree, DCA desperately needed something. Too bad it's a step backwards in Disney attractions. <a href="http://www.latimes.com/travel/deals/themeparks/la-trb-little-mermaid-disney-california-adventure-review-06201101,1,7710017.story" target="_blank">http://www.latimes.com/travel/...17.story</a>

Originally Posted By Mr X ***says the budget is $100 million, on par with the $100 million Indiana Jones*** Indy is more than 15 years old now, though. You can't really compare dollar for dollar, you have to look at the inflation rate and all that stuff...not to mention other factors (for instance, ToT in Tokyo cost a fortune, MUCH more than the others I believe, but much of that was for (clearly much needed!) earthquake reinforcement measures on reclaimed land). Still, obviously a pretty pricy investment on Disney's part. Not a cheap throwaway like so many other DCA efforts, so that's a positive at least. Strangely enough, I prefer them to swing for the home run every time even if they strike out now and then (and the jury is still out on Mermaid, so I'm not trying to imply anything), rather than go for the nice safe bunt as they so often have in recent years.

Also, these "$100 Million", "DCA 1 BILLION DOLLAR EXPANSION!" are mostly lies made up by promotions departments to make the park sound much bigger than it really is. Movies been lying about budgets by 30-40% for decades. It's the only industry (along with theme parks), that tells you how much there movies, attractions cost! Why? It's great free PR that no one is going to verify (and nobody really couldn't legally do it anyway). It's a white lie, though, a lie none the less. And trust me, TLM ride doesn't look a penny over $5 mil Well, I guess if you factor in the property value, then maybe you approach $40 mil!
