(To be fair it did use to have a small grocer downtown, but they went out of business.

Also in Orlando another planned community (Baldwin Park) does at least have a full scale super market right downtown backing it's main street. Much better planning, but to be fair they got to learn from the mistakes Disney made with Celebration.

Found the homes on a real estate website. Looks like the assigned schools are:

    Sunset Park Elementary (Windermere)
    Bridgewater Middle School (Winter Garden)
West Orange High School (Winter Garden)

And here I thought that the requirement for a municipality to be a city or town was for it to have some kind of administrative body overseeing sanitation, land usage, utilities, etc. Apparently all that's needed is a grocery store and a gas station to qualify. Who knew?

I actually sent the link the Golden Oaks to some friends who come here several times a year and who could actually afford a house there without much thought. I will offer to housesit all the time

You said, "Celebration is NOT an actual city..." The all-caps emphasis on "not" was yours and not mine, so please don't blame me for misunderstanding. Whatever point you were trying to make got lost because of this. Either it's a city or it isn't.

    Yeah. My first reaction.

"You could say multiple things define what a town is,"

    Exactly.

"administrative services are certainly included, yes. But for myself other basic services should be as well."

Like gas stations? Which are legion within a few mile of Celebration? I'm guessing there are a lot of cities without one supermarket.

Is your problem that it's called "city" as opposed to "town" or "village"?

"I am sure you got the point I was making Dr."

    I sure don't.

Golden Oaks residents already have amenities and services as though they are resort guests meaning concierge etc. I would guess they'll be classified as AP holding resort guests.

At say $500 a night you could stay 6000 days at the GF. That's 16.5 years.
