Nice emails huh. My emails were nice I think Here is the first one less the money breakdown -
<Here is a breakdown of the total from last weeks trip. I will need to be paid for this plus the previous $550 as soon as possible, hubby is not happy with me about our finances and if I don't get this money quickly, I will have to cancel my upcoming trips. Joe was also asking when you thought you would be able to get my ring to me. Mater - Until you can find a new location for the computer (I know I have to wait until DH decided to actually GO to work and not telecomute) to use ours but we're worth waiting for - right girls!!

I made a point of saying that our hotel is across the street from Balboa Park so I wouldn't HAVE TO drive!!!!! See what I have to work with here, mickey??? Luckily, it appears that mater4 has cognitive skills.

I am having flight fears today. I will get on the plane (mostly because of the $1 beer), and I won't be a big baby about it, but I still find my comfort on the ground. I made it clear to my folks that if I die, they are supposed to make sure DH gets the house. As you know, I call him DH, but we haven't gotten married yet because we keep spending our wedding $$ to go to DL. Better deal, more fun. After 9 years of being together, the house shouldn't be an issue, but for whatever reason, I have been obsessing about it for the last week or so. I will feel much better once we land safely in SD. I have promised myself, DH, and the Lord above that I will either marry DH upon my return, or get my rear to my mortgage company and have his name added to the paperwork, or get to my lawyer's and get a will drawn up. I never worried about my mortality until this trip came up. We ALWAYS do things together. This is the FIRST time in 9 years that DD and I will be headed somewhere alone on a plane without him. I'm very stressed. I need a bit more of tink's pixie dust.

Ok, I suppose I should yell across the hall and see if my boss has anything he wants me to do before I go. If he has "big enough ones" to actually give me w*&k, I'll be gone for a bit, but I'll pop on to say "bye" before I leave. If he's smart and leaves me alone, I'll only be gone for the next 10 minutes or so...break time.

I saw nothing unkind in your emails.

MM (again) -- You want me to keep an eye on Tink and Villians because they have memory problems and lack of focus. If you ONLY knew how hilarious that is-- and how ironic you asked me to do that. Maybe I should mention the doc just took me off the "stupid pill".

Tink, thanks so much for the email. I've missed you guys too. Just been a messed up few months.

And since you asked for MM here are the details....

Trying to remember the timeline-- I'm not sure when we went to DL if I had gotten on medication yet or not, I think I did. But, I ended up having an allergic reaction to the first medication and had to be taken off.

I was then prescribed a new medication and have been on that since. Wonderful side effects, nausea and extreme tiredness. Eventually, as my body adjusted they started to go away. Okay, life is finally starting to get back to normal and feeling tolerable.

Just about to get license back any day-- so excited and happy! *smack* Another seizure.

Doc decides to prescribe a new med on top of the old one. Side effects are horrendous. Nauseated, dizzy, memory problems, confusion, (hence while it is called the stupid pill), lost 8 lbs. in a week. Was on this for two weeks and I had to increase the dosage this past weekend. Allergic reaction and found myself having problems breathing.

Still suffering from outbreaks of a rash on my chest, arms, and neck because it is still in my system, but at least I can breathe pretty much normal again.

So now I have a hiatus for a few weeks before the doc wants to put me on another drug. Personally, I want to go off all of the medication, but my family doesn't want me to because of the risk of subsequent seizures.

Oh, and that resets my driving privileges back to ground zero so I have a minimum of another few months before I can even apply again.

So the moral of the story is enjoy each and every day to the fullest. You never know when life is going to throw you a curve ball. A year ago, I would have never imagined my life like this or having to make so many adjustments-- or that this could have even happened.

See, I told you it was a downer-- now you got me all mopey again. Girl, you had best be livening up this party!

Not true, not true, Villains, why just today we mentioned the $1 beers they serve on Express Jet!

I hope MM calmed down some and is enjoying the flight. We'll have to razz her about the deed & the wedding when she gets back. I'm sure she won't think about either of them again until her next mother daughter trip! lol (Villains and I could help her out and notarize the new deed, if she really wants to go through with it.) I get like that, too before I travel, I think of all the things that I should have taken care of, important things, and I swear I will take care of them when I return. I never do b/c they would take too much time away from reading LP.

I'm so sorry that you have had such a bad time with your health, Mickeynewe. We had all hoped you were too busy with your DD, w*rk, activities and making up for lost time now that you had your DLicense back. (I was so sure you'd have it back by now.) What a terrible turn of events. Now you have to start with new meds. How long do you have to be on these meds and go w/o a seizure before you can re-apply for your dl? (too long, I know. You must be going crazy.)
My son that have seizures is on two types of meds. He doesn't speak, so he could never tell me if he felt different on them. I guess he was pretty lucky not to have had any allergic reactions or to have gotten sick like you did. We were limited in what he could take, too. One b/c he couldn't swallow pills and had to get chewables. Another thing was it's virtually impossible to get a blood test from him. Most of the meds require you to get your blood checked every month or so, I think. He takes two meds for them now. One is called Lamictal and the other is called Kepra. I guess there are a ton of them out there. He's doing well, knock on wood, and hasn't had a seizure since March.
I'm so glad you're back and hopefully can get a few laughs, especially the next few days when we roast MM!
