    lol

You and DD will get LOTS of call backs for future performances after you wear that costume! You're welcome, for doubling or tripling your business. ;)

Oh my gosh, I hope we hear back from Villains today, I sure hope she got her tooth fixed. I don't want her to not be able to eat all of the Halloween goodies available this weekend. I've always been depressed when I have have toothaches in DL and can't get an ice cream sundae b/c it hurts too much to eat it. Like you, I have put off going to the DDS way longer than I should have. DH just had to have a tooth pulled for the same reason. When we let these things go, they only get worse. But, there are only so many hours in a day and who wants to spend them at the Dentist? Not me.
Villains, my DS was told he needed his braces on for 18 mo. and he wore them for 4 years. When he finally got them off, I had no idea he'd have to wear a retainer. They said we had to come in every mo. for a retainer check up. I think I yelled, "WHAT? YOU MEAN WE STILL HAVE TO COME HERE EVERY MONTH?" He's had them off for 3 years and we have been once a year for the retainer check up. As a matter of fact, I asked him the other day if our year was up yet. (I wonder if they took us off their books.)

Mater and Villains, my only procrastinating buddies on this thread, what kind of person puts away gifts for the FOLLOWING Christmas? I know, the same person that is planning a trip for 2009! Now, tell me, MM, what could possibly STILL be in style NEXT Christmas????

I did find a costume that was "decent". To have it expressed was a joke -- $63.! I was willing to pay a premium price, but that was more than the costume. Let's be real---

Hey don't pick on MM for shopping for the following Christmas! SOME people are just very organized and skilled at shopping. *starts to whistle and looks around innocently as I shove the closet door closed*

Have a lovely evening my friends!

Well, I am in a very happy mood! Contrary to that above sniffle--- had to make you guys feel good. hehehe

Anyways, I've been doing MORE Christmas planning and we were stuck on our daughter. She needs a PA System, but they are expensive. The recommended one was like $600 (plus shipping) but I didn't want to spend that much because then the child would get nothing else, well okay, she WOULD, but my budget would be all shot to hecky-doo.

So through my diligence--- and my utter persistence, I found the same exact one for $389 INCLUDING shipping. Yes, I love a good bargain! So yay for me! My daughter is going to be sooooo thrilled!

Okay, that's my happy news-- how is everyone else's day going?

Gotta go pack up my truck and wait for SIL to show up around 3:30 and then we are off - I can't wait.

Sorry Tink, I do have some of my shopping done already - I have 4 kids and 6 nieces and nephews to shop for so I am constantly looking for deals and grabbing them when I can!!! I think by next year I will be getting some gift cards as my SIL's kids are 10,11,12 and she has them shopping for quicksilver and ambercrobie so those don't fit in my budget!!

Mater how's the room planning going???

Well since I don't w**k, I will go home and straighten up a little before I go to DL again!! neneer neneer...Would be much easier if those darn kid's didn't have to go to school - it messes with my disney schedule!! :)

Have fun, Villains! (Even though you can't read this now!;)
I was a Target today looking for 3 things that they didn't have and ended up buying 2 Christmas gifts. I think it was the pressure coming from the group. My problem is this, today I picked up 2 toys for my little nephew. (There were no people in the toy section, which leads me to believe not everyone is an early shopper, which made me feel good.) Now, every time I go out shopping between now and Christmas, I will probably see something else that I just HAVE to buy my little nephew. (But, look at it, it's soooo cute!!!) So, by the time Christmas comes the little guy will have a pile of presents a mile high b/c I started so early. If I started late, I would only have 2 or 3 gifts for him. How do you control yourself and not buy more when you finish early?

Great job on the amp, mickey! Diligence always pays off. Are you going to be able to keep the secret, though? I got DD a banner that had been hung in WDW for the "Grand Gatherings" promotion. It's 6' long and is turquoise and has Tinkerbell flying on it. She's gonna do bad things in her jammies christmas morning when she sees that. I am having the worst time keeping my mouth shut about it, though. I can't wait to put it up in her room. It's easy to hide, though...where you gonna hide an amp?

You and I have been offered the opportunity to be personal shoppers for our unorganized buddies...what do you think? Spending someone else's money is always fun. By the way, I think you'd look great in the Alice costume...your hubby would, too. And tink...you have a very dirty mind...looking at smutty Alices.

I thought I was all done with christmas, but now I have another project to do. I built rocking horses for 2 of our granddaughters last year, and one of the guys here at work asked me to build one for his grandson. Poo...I wanted to sit on my butt all weekend. DD is going to my sister's for a belated birthday weekend, and I was looking foreward to having control of the remote control. Oh well, I'll just move the tv up to the shop, I guess, and fire up some power tools.

mater...I've never eaten at the Minnie and Friends deal, but I have seen good reviews here about it. I rarely have time to actually sit down and eat when I'm at DL. Now, if you were to ask me about Rita's.....I'm an expert. It's NOT nice to neener neener someone about your impending DL trip knowing that someone has to wait so long to go again. Actually, DH said we could go every year if I wanted. I DO, of course, but we spend so much money when we go that I think I should do something smart with the money and only go every other year. This year, the smart thing is the deck. However, if a killer deal comes up for airfare, we're out of here.

Gosh, I hope villains can pop on before she leaves. I'm sure she's busier than heck, though. Hopefully her tooth is better...nothing worse than a tooth ache. Well, I KNOW she's thinking about us and missing us already.

It won't be long before we say goodbye to tink, villains AND mater all at the same time. It will just be me and you, mickey. Normally, you'd be gone then, too. Then I'd be all alone, crying in my Corona.

Crud...just for fun I checked airfare for that weekend...$177 into Long Beach on my new favorite airline Express Jet. I shouldn't have looked. I get paid tomorrow. Normally, I'm looking at $400 on my old favorite airline Alaska. $177 is awesome from here. Darn............

Good job on the christmas gifts, tink! You DO have a point about finishing early. THAT'S why I already have gifts put away for christmas 2009. I buy stuff all year...whenever I see a good deal, or a present that's perfect for someone. I have 60 people that I get gifts for, so I gotta shop all the time. I have notebooks that I fill ut to keep track of what I got, for whom, and for what occasion and what year. It's insanity, but I can't stop. Gift cards would be SOOOOOOO much easier, but I actually like to shop for people, and I get excited when I come across the perfect gift. Kinda like I get excited with good airfare to DL......$177!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

villains...so glad that your tooth is better. Do drive safely, and have a great time. I'll be thinkin' of ya...with envy, of course, but I'll be thinkin' of ya.

And when Christmas is anywhere near close (within a few months) she won't even go near our spare bedroom. I don't even have to hide them at that point. LOL She so doesn't want to spoil her own Christmas! I've even told her, "honey, your presents are in there, its up to you whether or not you want to ruin your own Christmas!" Reverse psychology works so well--- its the technique my mom always used on me and it seems to be holding true for her as well.

Great news Villian! So glad you were able to get it taken care off!

Tink, I'm so proud of you! And don't fight the impulse-- that is what makes it so fun to shop and find "bargains". It just means that you can shop all the more and not go outside your budget! I am the bargain queen! I always shop the sales. More bang for the buck!

Here is a tip for those with girls who like American Eagle, one of my daughter's favorite brands. Go online and shop their clearance section. I check it out on a regular basis for tees and hoodies. You can also find some great deals at the clearance section of Hollister, but you have to go in to the stores for those.

For young nieces and nephews, I shop the after-Christmas toy clearances. You can get deals at 50% or more off the regular price. Kid toys don't differ that much from year to year. Just pick something age appropriate for the next year. For example, I got one of my nieces a Vtech computer system at Target for $24.98 and the normal price was $49.99. She gets a great gift, I get a great bargain. Works for me!

Villians so glad your mouth is feeling better. Your trip should not be spent in pain. As far as the rooms I have become lazy this week. I am hoping to start next week. Have a safe drive down today and enjoy DL for the rest of us.
Tink you are making me look bad by shopping for christmas already. I am the only one who has not started. My new goals are to shop for family members, paint kids rooms, and decorate the house inside and out for christmas by Nov.24.
MM sorry for the neener neener. So not nice I know. I am a fan of Rita's also. I will be sure to stop there on my next trip. You shop for 60 people? I guess I am lucky since my list is only 10 not including DH and kids.

I don't mind because I'm a christmas freak, but if I didn't shop all year, I'd never get it done.

mater...I have an idea. Call it a "reward challenge" like on Survivor. Since you are now the only slacker in our happy group that hasn't started christmas shopping yet, if you get ONE present bought before Halloween, I will forgive you your mean, rotton, insensitive neener neener comment. You are also forgiven if you have a margarita grande for me at Rita's.

mickey...I have to hide DD's presents... put them behind lock and key behind a barbed wire fence that is electrified and guarded by killer attack dobermans under 24 hour armed guard....she still gets to them. I was the same way. I opened my presents then wrapped them back up when I was a kid. To this day, I can't stand it if any of my presents are under the tree. DH goes shopping about the 23rd and then locks my presents in the shop so I can't get to them. Your DD is one of a kind.
