We have to watch talks about crows feet. I am turning 40 in 13 days. I have no idea how I got that old. I too have used the regenerist stuff, but was not too dilligent about it either. It appears to work some. My MIL is having a face lift at the end of this month. She is doing that instead of coming to DL with us. I think I would rather have wrinkles. <g>

My problem is that I have really sensitive skin, and for some reason, Oil of Olay products irritate it. I use a cleanser by MD Formulations that contains glycolic acid. Great stuff! I just use a daily moisturizer by Neutrogena with spf 45.

If anyone wants a suggestion on an AWESOME under-eye concealer for dark circles--- just fell in love with a product by STILA. It comes in a little tube. You just need a tiny dab. Best of all, it stays in place, even if put over moisturizer.

Okay, now I am just avoiding writing my Nanowrimo so I had better go get busy.

You can always tell, b/c they don't have any expression on their face or their skin looks really tight. Not all nice and wrinkly, like mine! ;)

I have had crow's feet since I was about 18, I think, MN. I grew up in FL before there was such a thing as sunscreen. I LOVE the sun and still don't use sunscreen, anyway, except for my nose so it doesn't get all red. I have been using Eucerin creme for years at night time. The thick stuff. I lather that all over my face right before bed. There is nothing in it that I am allergic to, there is no scent or anything either. I think it helps a lot. When I go out on these little j*bs I get, (you know, once in a while now!) I alwyas have to ID the people to notarize the documents. I see their birth date on their Drivers License and many times I am amazed that they are younger than me, because they look so old! lol Then, I think, Jeez, maybe my Eucerin creme is working! :)

Speaking of skin cremes, one of my little j*bs I get here and there is working for the "Skin Study Center". It's usually around this time of year. Bascially, I am a guinea pig testing their make-up or lotion before it gets on the market. I finally got a call the other day to do a study and I couldn't accept b/c I needed to go the week we will be in DL. Yesterday, I got another call and the same thing happened. OH, and I lost my mystery shopping j*b, also! (I only made about $40 a mo. doing that for Shop Rite.)I got an email saying they were cancelling the program b/c it was getting too expensive for Shop Rite. I can't make any dough for my trip so FORGET Christmas shopping! lol

I'm impressed...I mean disgusted with TQ getting all of that shopping done by the way. I bought a CD online last night for one of my DSs. Does buying a CD player and a small refrigerator for our house count as Christmas shoppping? Nah...I didn't think so. I think in the end you will all be jealous of the bargains mater and I will be getting.

I'm excited about MMs big birthday bash coming up in Feb.! We'll all have to meet in DL to celebrate. There should be cheap airfare in Feb. ;) What was your spook show, MM?

Villains, congrats on the tix! Your DD will be so excited! (No friends or SILs going, right?) Do you still owe us a story on the car ride home? (after the restaurant?) I was kind of looking forward to reading it, but then again, I thought you'd probably rather forget about it. Did DS decide on the job? I was rooting for the Starbucks one.

Sorry no ideas on skin creams. I am 46 and just use a moisturiser and have smile lines etc but cannot get into a routine for anything else. just lazy!

Okay, so WHY am I so pushy on this subject? I never worried about it either-- until I had to have it removed from my face. I had a procedure called Mohs, done by a plastic surgeon who was able to keep the damage at a minimal and do reconstrutive right after removing the cancer to minimalize scarring. It really isn't anything to mess around with, especially if you are a sun-lover. Now, I am emphatic with my daughter about taking care of her skin. Its such a little thing to do to protect ourselves, considering the alternative. Trust me, having it removed, the stitches, the worry-- it isn't worth it! I was lucky, I had an awesome doctor! My scarring is barely noticeable, only thanks to her expertise-- however, I had stitches from the top of the crease of my nose all the way down to my lip. When we met I'd be surprised if you noticed it at all. I just don't want to see this happen to you!

End lecture--- and *hands over a tube of sunscreen*

tink...I am an obsessed watcher of all spook shows, but last night I stayed up to watch GhostHunters on SciFi. They were spending the night at Waverly Hills to look for spooks.

My confrontation with HIM that was supposed to occur the 16th will actually take place this sunday.

Dh mentioned this sheepishly last night, knowing that I would freak out. I had my spook show to watch, so I didn't have time to freak out. Dh DID ask if I still intended to kill HIM. I told him that I was over the idea of murder, but the Lorena Bobbit form of punishment was still an option. HIM has some "very big ones" if you all get my drift, and they need to be removed.

TQ may not know about Lorena Bobbit...who would like to enlighten her on that if need be? I vote for tink...just 'cuz. :)

Mickey I agree with your suncare lecture. Having that tan was once important to me. I have not had one in 10 years out of fear of skin cancer.
TX- Nascar is frowned upon in this family. We watch occasionally because of Juan Montoya who raced real cars til now. My FIL works with the Champ Car series and apparently it takes skill to finish a race on the road courses they race.
As far as wrinkle cream I can't recommend any. What I need is something to prevent the wrinkles and such. I am not one for plastic surgery of any kind. I hate going to doctors unless necessary.

Doesn't matter that it is now November, if you sign up--- they'll make it retroactive! Might as well earn those points to use on your vacations!

But, the people that don't use it get better rewards offers! As usual, the good customers get the shaft!

MM, I was trying to watch one of those shows last Fri. The ghosthunters were in the Winchester Mystery House. It was on the travel channel. Nothing much was happening and I was getting tired of looking at the faces in the back lights or black light, whatever it's called, where their eyes look really creepy. It was on for about 6 hours, I think.

wrinkle cream-clinique eye rejuvinator cream or something like that. i'm just now starting tosee some wrinkles and have used this with good results. i too have been a sun worshiper, but i think my native american blood has let me get away with it without adverse effects.
house cleaning stinks! my husband has probably not cleaned a toilet since we have lived in this house. about 5 years. i hooked up with a cleaning lady when my kids were in junior high. i was just too darn much on the go to ever have time to clean. then when they were both in college- private colleges at that- i was way too poor to keep the cleaning lady, so that was the end of a good thing. when we built this new house we were in a position to get her back. i had to wait until she had an opeing and so i have only had her now for about 1.5 years. it is money well spent. it allows me to have my own time to do stuff. i could never count on my husband for anything consistent withthe cleaning and this house is too big to want to do it all myself. don't hate me! maybe it's what i get instead of getting to go to dl as often as some of you gals! i'm going to check out that sw airlines ding thing. the closest airport for them is omaha-about 2.5 hours away-but it might be worth it. dinnertime here- gotta go. anybody watching survivor tonight? and villians what about your sons job? i'm going for starbucks and i don't even like coffee. might stunt my growth. maybe i'll get taller. ha ha ha! let's here it for all of us "pushing"5-2!

tink...I stayed up last week and watched the show on the Winchester House. "Most Haunted" is a pretty lame spook show, and they fake most of what they do, but they go to some really neat places, and that's why I watch for the most part. There is a guy on that show named Stuart that never fails to find some reason to scream like a girl, so DD and I have a bet every friday night as to how long into the show it will be before he let's loose.

DH teases me about those shows. He says, "they never see a spook, why do you keep watching them?" Well, the first time I don't watch, sure as heck, they're gonna see a spook, and I will have missed it.

Okay here's what happened on the way home - Before you read it know that part is so bad even I can't believe it -

But before I start I will tell you I emailed SIL the photopass info (always strive to be the better person - even if it kills me) and followed it with an email to ensure she got it - in reply she mentioned she had given BIL a check for her half of the hotel (good I don't have to remind her) and a thank you for the picts I had given BIL (gave him my SD card) of DN11 playing in her soccer game last weekend (promised her I would attend and SIL was at the other soccer game as they were at the same time so worked out well) including a shot of DN11 scoring her first goal this season!! THEN in the email she says have a good week (like nothing ever happened - who is she fooling - she owes me and my kids an apology and time to decide if we would even accept it - it stinks to fight with family)

Okay so we all get in the truck - DS18 has moved all SIL stuff to the back seat so he can now sit in the front (my protector). Off we go first stop for gas (SIL gives me $50 for the gas). SIL is quiet as she is doing her work that she brought home and the kids are all just being very quiet (the DVD player started smoking on the way down so no movies - I guess if you have 2 batteries you can't get those plug in type DVD players as the voltage from the two batteries is too high - now I know - thank goodness target took them back as I just bought them for the trip). SO SIL is always too hot so she starts whining about the air in the back and it's too stuffy (like I care) I tell her there in only vents in the back (I am not going to freeze for just one person and the kids were all just fine with the temp). Then her phone rings - so I switch my radio to the front and drivers side so not to bother her (being nice) I don't turn it down - since I don't want to be accused of eavesdropping!!!
Now her kids are all wearing crocs and she is wearing flip flops - my DD is wearing tennis shoes and always takes them off in the car both the boys leave there shoes on so I don't worry if I am going to stop about warning them...So I need to use the potty, I have DS18 ask DD if she needs to go (since she will have to put on shoes) she doesn't so I get in the right lane with my blinker on to exit - well SIL freaks out because I didn't ask her or her kids and she needs the restroom so I need to stop for her - I simply explain that I was stopping and the DD was the only one who would have a shoe issue, this wasn't a good enough reason so she procedes to ask each of her kids if they need the restroom in a very sarcastic tone (like I care) but after all that she never asks my DS11 sitting in the back too...SO I stop in Kettleman city at a new starbucks/cheveron station and I ask DD9 again and she still says no so I run in while SIL is making all her kids get out (even though they all said no to needing the potty) I go in use the restroom and here SIL tell nephew to wait by the women's door when he is done - well I order a coffee and am standing there when nephew comes out and starts to head out the door - I call him back and have him stand where I can see him and his mom will see him as she comes out... Well without me knowing my DD decided she would try to go and had DS18 had her follow SIL into the restroom (she apparently came in while I had my back to the room ordering). I go out to the truck and everyone follows (so I think). Now the seating in the truck was my DS11 was directly behind me and directly behind him was my DD in her booster seat the girls were next to her and my nephew was in the middle seat between my SIL and DS11 - I also have limo black tinted window so I can't see inside the truck other than shapes and with DD in a high - back booster I can't see her at all from outside. SIL procedes to put all her kids in the truck and close the seat to get in herself as I start the engine and get ready to back out when my wonderful sweet nephew looks at his mother and says "mom why are you closing the truck - aren't you going to wait for Calista?" I turn around and look at her and say "Where is Calista?" DS18 says she went in behind SIL and SIL says "oh I thought you knew she was in there" I don't even turn off the truck and run into Starbucks to find DD washing her hands unaware that her aunt had left her in there alone!!! I bring her out and make sure she's in the truck and I am so mad I can't even look at SIL - her kids are asking DD if she is alright and sorry she was alone - but SIL doesn't say a word to her!! I asked DD later if SIL knew she was in there and she said yes she had looked meanly at her right in her eyes....

Now I don't care how made you are at someone you don't leave there child in a strange place alone - she knew I was unaware that DD was in there - why would I have come out if I knew she was in there at all - I wouldn't!! I really don't think (god I hope) that she would have let me leave without DD but to even let me start the truck or not even mention that DD was still in there and that she didn't feel like waiting for her was just wrong and I would have never - ever done that to anyone no matter how mad I was at them....

The rest of the ride was fairly quiet as she knew that she had pushed everyone to their limits at the restaurant and she had crossed a line not even made before with the whole restroom fiasco!!

DD said she and the girls just Pictochated or whatever on their nintendo DS's the rest of the way home and that the girls (well mostly DN11) wished they hadn't even come since her mom was so mean for most of the trip....

Okay MM your turn - tell us about HIM!!!
