Just so you guys know, don't know HOW it happened, but I thought I'd share with you. I got a call a little while ago from Disney VISA from the fraud department. They thought someone was using my card. Someone charged $400.49 to my credit card at 6:20 a.m. from the east coast (hey, it wasn't you was it Tink? )

Anyways-- it is the Christmas shopping season. Be careful how you use your card. Again, we have no idea how someone got our number, but the charge was for a company in Budapest!

In May, Mark comes out one saturday and walks the property with DH and sets out the flags of where the sprinkler heads will be placed. He and DH then sit down and make out a list of the parts needed to do the job. He tells DH that he will come out the following saturday to pull the pipe. He also states that he has the crew lined up to put in the heads and the rest of the system the weekend after that. He says that it will take 6 guys 2 full days to get it all in, and that we might as well just buy a keg of beer, and he asked that we bbq steaks one night, and says that the crew will be spending the night and will need breakfast in the morning.

Chapter 3 is where the problems begin.....

Mickey - That is so upsetting about your credit card fraud. I just want to make sure you didn't give out any info over the phone to the fraud dept. I have heard of fraud cases where someone supposedly from the credit card company calls and tells you about an illegal charge to your account. They even have your account number and address, but then they ask you to confirm that you have the card by asking you the numbers on the back. That is the numbers they are after and then they charge to your account after you tell them that information. I have had my debit card used once for over $600 because the bank sent my new card to an old address I hadn't used in years. I had to file a report and it was a big hassle, but at least the bank put my money back.

I'm glad they were on the ball and caught the charge! My friend had that happen to her and it was her Disney Visa, too. But, the charge took place in Istanbul or some place like that. They didn't catch it, though. It showed up on her bill. Then when she called them, they made her sign a form and get it notarized. (They didn't believe she wasn't in Istanbul. lol)

Credit card system scanning equipment! I couldn't believe it! Of course, I couldn't read the language, but the machine was obvious.

The person running the scam must be in need of new equipment! The irony was just incredible. I hope they get the idiot! Doesn't the person realize that to order equipment they have to give a SHIPPING address?
