My new CD player didn't work, the little fridge was broken and my fireplace/heater thingy is broken, so I've been on the return trail and making phone calls and all of that. (and food shopping.)I also listed my coupons again on Ebay to compete with Villains! lol
I got to read MM's story last night and I'm saddened by the way people treat us. It sounds like he still has the nerve to come around during hunting season, too, doesn't it? I don't think I could get past him taking advantage of me to ever have him over my house again. I hope he doesn't show up so MM won't have to deal with that.

Hugs to MN and RT!!!!! Maybe my crazy sister isn't so bad...

I wouldn't have a problem putting the tree up now, but DD has 2 cats that WON'T stay out of it. Needless to say, I have several ornaments to retrieve and replace each night when I get home. I don't think I could take much more than a month of that.

There was a friend of my mom's that had a smaller artificial tree that she kept up all year. She decorated it for each holiday that came around. It was pretty cool.

rt...I'd call the girls to rally round and give you a big group hug, but mickey has been known to try and "cop a feel" so we had to quit doing that...she can't help it...her drugs, you know. Ok, it's really tink, but we blame mickey. We are all cyber sisters here, rt. Some of us may have problems with our family, and while that can be extremely painful, in whatever way we can here on line, the rest of us are here to listen and to send hugs and good thoughts.

villains...DH's cousin works at the Walmart here. She says it's crummy hours, crummy pay, and really no chance for advancement. Kohl's is probably a better choice...though it's no Starbucks. Us Washington folk love our Starbucks. Congrats to him and his new career. Hey, how much is the employee discount? That could come in handy.

Wow, you guys are getting so close to your trip...I noticed all your names listed on my calendar this morning and got jealous and called you bad names. Are you going to be able to get together at all? Ok, just in case you were wondering what to bring back for me...I'm not at all picky, but my favorite character is Dumbo, my birthstone is Amethyst, and I wear a size 6. Mickey, TX, TQ, MMW will be on later to give you guys their lists as well. Oh...my favorite color is red.

    I'll settle for a group picture. :)

TX...just so ya know...it's not that I have "strength and character"...I'm a b*%&#h. Now, the other girls...THEY have strength and character.

Ooh...lunch time. I am starving to death....back in a bit.

I have some stuff that I should probably try and sell, but have never gotten around to actually doing it.

rt - I just want to say WOW! 34 years at the same place. That is quite an accomplishment. I can't believe with that many years, you aren't getting off when you want. That is unbelievable.
p.s. - I don't think you could work at the same place for that long if you were "icky"

What is up with all these Christmas decorations going up? I have just barely started on my shopping. I sure haven't thought about decorating yet. I did take the Monday following the Thanksgiving holidays so I will have 5 days off in a row so hopefully, I can get everything bought and decorated then.

Mater - I am trying to think of a great gift for the cheer coach. In the past for football coaches, we have made DVD slideshows with music of the pictures taken during the year. I have also had calendars made at Office Max of the pictures taken during the year. If she is into scrapbooking, she might just like a bunch of stickers and paper that have either a cheer theme or DL. I love to scrapbook and I would love that. You could just include pictures taken during the year that she could scrapbook herself. Maybe you could have each of the girls write a little something about her on cardstock that could be cut out and she could add to the scrapbook.

Yes my kids are spoiled - I think DD had one walmart tinkerbell shirt but she only wore it once. I know I am a Disney Snob!! Oh yeah I only have maybe 5 shirts that are none Disney myself and whenever I can I get the older boys in Disney (Jack Skellington / Pirates)...

My DH used to be in a country band. He plays guitar. This was a while ago (before he was DH), but that point, he was only listening to country music. During this time, he was working at a hotel and would drive guests as needed in the hotel van. One time, he was told to drive this one guy to a church. DH was taking to this guy while driving him and since DH was somewhat young, stupid, and proud, he was bragging all about his band. DH kept going on and on about how good his band was and everything when this guy tells my DH that he too is in a band and plays the drums for them. My DH then asks them if they are any good. This guy says "yeah, I think we are pretty good". My DH then asked him what the name of his band was. He replied...

    wait for it....

.... U2, have you ever heard of us?

Well, my DH being the country music lover he was at the time told him "no, never heard of you" and then went on to brag more about his "great" band.

When DH got back to the hotel and was taking to someone a little less sheltered musically, he found out how big U2 was and here he was bragging about his band that just played in a few clubs around Texas.

My hubby's band does pretty well - he's opened for some big names - Blue Oyster Cult, Eddie Money, are two I can think of now...But I only listen about the band about as much as he listens about Disneyland...
By the way I will be watching the CMA's tonight!!! Love country music...
I guess with me and my hubby - I'm a little bit country and he's all rock and roll...

They even have a professional CD and are working on a second!!

Dumbo... now that made me laugh.

I love the U2 story! That's great, TX, they're probably used to people falling all over themselves trying to get near them, so it brought the guy back to reality! lol
I'm looking forward to the CMAs tonite, too, Villains. I love Country Music. I love George Strait. The only time he's ever on tv is when there are award shows.
The Eagles are going to be on tonite, too. The best concerts I've ever been to were the times we saw George Strait and the (only) time we saw the Eagles.

I've got to get back to that cabinet...BYE!

Hey, MM-- I'm off the "dingie" meds now so no more blaming me for Tink's stuff. Glad you decided to come clean and correct yourself with that comment. ;) *mumbles, always getting blamed for things I don't do*

Villians, congrats on your son for getting the job at Kohls! Forget WM-- anyone that spoke to your son that way on the phone, isn't someone he wants to deal with daily in person!

Tink, what is with the run of bad luck? You are going to run yourself ragged returning all this stuff. I'm feeling for ya babe! (And, don't go turning that NICE comment into something bad MM)

Wow, 34 years RT?! That is quite an accomplishment. You seriously deserve seniority and I can't believe you don't get to pick first. There is something wrong, wrong, wrong in that!

Now, on to the important stuff- MY DISNEY LAND WISH LIST--- um, I want a group picture of all of you standing in front of Snow White's wishing well so that I can picture myself there with all of you singing a rousing version of, "I'm wishing..."

Now, MM-- you have great character! Now, I will only admit this once, so you better bookmark this page, otherwise you will not be able to use this against me in future discussions because I will heartily deny, deny, deny that I ever said it. :p

    Have a lovely day ladies!

    *hugs*

Wish me luck, I'm going to make one more run at hubby to try and get him to consider DL this weekend. Cross you fingers, I'll need it, he's in his overprotective mode right now.
