I was thinking of not doing it this year becaause my finances are kind of tight but I am going to be creative so whoever I get should be well taken care of.
I have to say that last year Dannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnzzzzzzz had me and what I liked about his treatment of me is that he sent a lot of cards and small gifts (for example, some cinnanon sticks one time, then another package was just a small candle). So it's not the monetary value* of the gifts that I appreciated, it was the fact that I looked forward to checking the mail every day, and this was during a time when I had just been fired and bills were piling up, usually a not so fun time to check the mail. That's what made me finally think to myself that I can please a Secret Pal this year, finances be darned.









*This is in no way saying that Dannnnzzzz didn't go crazy by the end of the bash and got me way too expensive of a final gift

That's a biggie. Over the past few years I've had my feelings hurt due to lack of attention from a few people. I know I'm a sensitive person but I know things could have been a little better. This is the main reason I'm not participating this year. I'm not bitter, just speaking the truth for future newbies.

On a different note... if anyone needs something specific from the DLR I'd be happy to be an elf. If anyone needs help, just shoot me an email.

These are the things that I remember that I sent you-ALL of them in seperate packages mailed over the course of the BASH-Tea, Hot Chocolate, Disneyland Magnet, Postcards, Princess Christmas Tags, Character small notebook, recipe book, Christmas tootsie rolls, homemade caramel popcorn-there were more-but that's what I remember.

What you've described sounds like a more-than-satisfactory showering of gifts!

It is true that over the years there have been a very few Pals who -- for whatever reason -- haven't fulfilled the spirit of their Pal-ly obligation.

I've already planned to highlight the "commitment" aspect in this year's promotion of the event. No matter how seriously people enter the program, there will be one or two who experience something unexpected that will impede their "performance." We can work with that. But we want people to take their commitment seriously when they sign up. (I don't mean for that to sound scary.)

She just seemed to know when I needed that pick me up.

To Jasmine7 whom I gave gifts etc to was fun. SHe was so appreciative of everything i sent. If I couldn't send a gift then I tried to send a message every day or two. My main goal was to encourage her and just simply let her know I was tinking of her throughout the holiday season. One of her final gifts that I gave her was a little booklet from the musical WICKED, it was even autographed. It didn't cost me anything but I know she loved it..lol or at least she said she did..hmm wait she said she cried when she opened it..hah! naw she liked it..lol

Anyway, to make a long story short it was fun, I did the best I could, couldn't have asked for a better set of bash pals and I look forward to this year
