Gran Marnier is a bitter orange liqueur - same category like Blue Curacao and Cointreau (however with Cognac as a base). I think the taste you misliked might not have been the alcohol but the bitter orange which can taste a bit like medicine due to the bitter taste in it.

Impossible, at least how they make it. All the flavor comes from the alcohol, so removing the alcohol would give you just ice.

I would think that price tag $14 for one drink plus tip would be memorable.

    Magic Blue
El Mayor Premium white tequila,Blue Curacao, fresh lime juice and agave nectar, served on the rocks with a hibiscus Himalayan salt rim and a souvenir LED blue ice cube.

Love to read the descriptions of exotic expensive drinks. Don't you? Feels educational or something. I don't drink but have hung out at many bars with friends so entertaining myself has become an art form! I always remember my fun tho'
