We have ordered a few rock t-shirts and got him a magazine subscription and a couple of cd downloads from Sony, plus some strings, picks and a guitar stand. Well, we just found out the shirts might not be here until after Xmas. We might have to run out and buy a couple of more things to put under the tree so that he isn't totally bored/bummed on Xmas morning.

Little does he know that my brother and his girlfriend are bringing the guitar with them to an early Xmas breakfast at our house. He is going to be so excited!!!

(But we still might get him a couple more things for him to open so that he isn't sitting there with nothing while we all open presents.)

Can't wait to see his face when he gets the guitar!!!

I confess our stove died on us a few months ago. We cooked on a two-burner for about six weeks. Finally, a couple of days before Thanksgiving we bought a new one and considered it our Christmas present. I know Christmas is not about gifts, but I hate waking up on Christmas morning and not having anything to open. So I suggested that we have a $10 spending limit and buy all our gifts at the dollar store! Hey, they have great stuff! :)

I have some expensive hobbies (reading, um technology, DVD's, etc.) so no matter how much I make, my priorities gobble up my money. I'm not saying i'm rich (far from it) but it always seems there are things I want that take priority. I'm a "Sears" level dresser, not Wal-Mart, but not a brand shopper either (Although my mom is). I went 3 paychecks without fixing my oven (for single people most of the time the toaster oven is big enough). Why because I had other priorities for the $25.00 for the element. When I say curb shopping I mean mainly bookcases/wall units. I'll repair them, strip them, stain them, paint them, repurpose them. Other furniture items I'll make quick repairs and paint to give to a local church (Whose members are mostly newer immigrants and those of less means), but with Winter the amount I can do is dwindling. This is not the same church I attend though. I'm a cheapskate through and through, even though I can afford a decent hotel, if it's on my dime and not company money I'm a motel 8 type person. I confess it takes all types to make the world.

Although I will NEVER buy used clothing, vintage or not.

I confess I also really like that picture of me and Belle! I was SO excited to see her walk by to the photo spot in her blue dress. I had never met her in her blue dress, only the yellow one. Klucky said she had never seen a pregnant woman run so fast! :)

I confess, being a classic Nintendo lover, that's awesome---you'd fit right into the Mushroom Kingdom in the Super Mario Bros. games! :p
