They didn't see anyone (no injured animals either... I always worry about that too) lying in the street/sidewalk. Hubby had no trouble going right back to sleep as I lay there letting my imagination run wild. We did call the non-emergency police number. I hope they checked it out. If it happens again I'll take alexbook's suggestion. A middle-of-the-night fireworks display is easier on the mind. ;)
