I bought two MC Pies for her, stocked a picnic basket for five, had husband, mom, sister, and niece meet at my house for the water taxi, and we went to an outdoor concert in the park. We enjoyed the Henry Mancini Orchestra and Doc Severenson. Then, upon return to our place, we had pie (my mom likes pie over cake), and put candles in the pie, and opened presents. It was a lovely evening, but they day started out with me dealing with work issues for nearly two hours. HUGE problems. And I had to clean the house to boot. And buy a gift. I do confess I am beat.
