So I think I smoked about a pack a day for two to three years.

I confess smoking is stupid. People are spending money on a habit that can possibly cost them their lives.

I confess I am really upset over this. Why does it take something like this to upset me about the dangers of smoking?

I confess that scared the hell out of me.

I confess that I am sad any time I hear someone loses a friend/relative.

I want to say I am JUST the medical receptionist, but I know thats not all I am. I do answer phones, and put the charts together, but I also check the patients in, room them, take their vital signs, hug them, laugh with them, cry with them, love them and encourage them.
I am really thinking about becoming a radiation therapist. I love what I do, and am really interested in the actual treatments that are given to the patients.
    Are you familiar with Rad/onc?

For the first time in years I was able to get over the constant coughing. I don't know if I can avoid cancer, I don't really deserve to after the way I treated my body but I can at least hope. If you don't smoke now, don't start. If you do smoke do whatever it takes to stop. It is worth the effort.

I confess that the fact that she's already home both makes me happy and makes me outraged - SPINAL SURGERY (compressed vertabrae up near her neck IIRC) and she's out the SAME DAY? What the heck?!?!?! Whatever happened to keeping the paitent in the hospital overnight? When I had my eardrum transplant, they kept me in THREE nights!

I know it sounds outrageous that they would turn them loose so quickly. My husband had his last back surgery about 12 years ago and my sister a couple of years after that and I thought it was pretty nuts that they only stayed one night at that time.

I confess that maybe I will invent a better chair/bed for hospitals. then we can ALL go to disneyland!

I confess that I could never do goofyang1's job, but I have nothing but respect for her. That's gotta be tough.
