(also had family members do it as well). The CM's reactions were unanimously positive. I hope it made them feel good. It certainly did me.

Originally Posted By goodgirl I confess that I feel much better about my niece Julie. In December, she pushed herself too far with a cold and developed pneumonia and wouldn't rest. Ended up collapsing and going into the hospital on the 15th. Worsened and ended up being put on a ventilator for a week. On Christmas Day they were able to take her off the ventilator. I confess that her experience is a good reminder that we need to take care of ourselves first when we are ill.

I was so sick at my recital time several years ago from not taking care of bronchitas that landed me in emergency after our Friday night show with two more to go on Saturday. I couldn't breathe by the time I got to the hospital that night. That was a frightening experience.

Directly across from the Emporium, it was a wonderful place to talk family, drink coffee and people watch. During our time there, we stood at attention during the flag lowering ceremony, saw the lighting of the *golden* Christmas tree, and watched the delightful Christmas Parade. I also saw Disneygurl just long enough for a hug and a 30 second conversation. After the parade, we saw Steve Martin and Donald Duck in the Opera House. On film, of course. The Story Teller Cafe had a looooon wait, so It was Mimi's for dinner and then home. Just another day in Paradise.
