Amazing stuff! <<In fact, in December he rode Splash on a freezing cold rainy night with Captain Jack and his boys!>> It was either that or POOH! I think after how wet we got(jumping in a pool would have been dryer) maybe we should have followed the group. Never listening to that husband of yours and that kid of mine again.LOL! <<Psst! Cap't! If you move your trip to March your eldest can go to a massive paintball tournament in Huntington Beach.>> He would have loved that Sue, he still talks of his conversation with you. We are flying into LongBeach this time, are there any tournaments in May? CJS

You state it better than I can explain it. The fact that you bring attention to "so many of us". Not all of us do have that history. But if I could, I would love that. And you would be my friend, too. >>>>*sigh* I passionately hate that word. It makes me think of high school and people who shut you out. I don't know any groups on LP like that.<<< Can you see that when you say "so many of us", for me I'm seeing, "but not you, trailsend." Please, SuzieQ, I do not mean to argue. I'm just trying to make my point. It's very hard when you can't see me or don't know me. This is exactly why I wanted to participate in the Winter Bash. And I was so nervous about it. But I wanted to create history, too.
Originally Posted By SuzieQ <<Can you see that when you say "so many of us", for me I'm seeing, "but not you, trailsend.">> I can't help that you read it that way. Why do you not see yourself as part of "us"? US is LP! Are you not part of LP?

I know I've read some that I don't get and that's fine. But what about the new person who doesn't understand and feels you are cliquish? It's a cycle. It is what happens in a growing, flexible community.

You are absolutely correct here, SuzieQ: >>Do you and other LPer's not have your little jokes now? I know I've read some that I don't get and that's fine. But I am way more aware when that new person does come in to not make them feel like an "outsider".

In 5 years I haven't made a single trip to DLR that didn't include meeting with LPers other than those I was traveling with. Even my private family trips have not escaped LP! And that has been my wish.
