If anything, I think it should have taken the route MK has with characters.

MK should be for unique things that fit the lands, and the obvious things go to EPCOT and DAK.

But you are right...Quality comes first.

Oh no, it's WDI. Breaking within a year and a half of operation=BAD engineering. Even without a maintenance issue.

It was actually our least favourite.

The only park worse in Florida for us was USO. Hmmmmm....both are "movie studio" theme parks. Anyway, MGM was pretty bland with an overemphasis on shows. Add to that we had done ST at DL, the Indy stunt show was a piss poor substitute for the Indy ride in California and the cliff notes version of F! in their dinky theatre just wasn't the same as seeing it on the river at DL and, well, MGM was the park we spent THE LEAST time in.

You can really see it was a reactionary addition from Eisner based on USO opening up the road.

    Lame.

    EXACTLY.

True, but it might be a little bit of both.

Hard to compare something that was around before the ride, and was never supposed to be a substitute, but whatever.

<<and the cliff notes version of F! in their dinky theatre>>

You do realize the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater holds more people than DL's F! right? And that DHS's show is longer than DL's? I mean I don't think it's as good, but you can hardly call it the "cliff notes" version if it's longer.

<<just wasn't the same as seeing it on the river at DL>>

Sounds like someone's just a DL fanboy! Haha

And USO is another awesome park, so I don't get where you're coming from.

are you sure? because according to the latest D23 magazine, F! at DL holds more people than the DHS amphitheater.. I don't have the exact figures, but I do know it was mentioned in the Fantasmic article.

It doesn't work, and apparently they can't fix it. That's an engineering design flaw.

If they fixed the Yeti, plugged all the holes that let light in, made sure the steam from the train, the waterfalls, and clouds were all working, and replaced bird on a stick with a real AA, then I would say it would be close to perfection.

Eh, it's still too barren after the broken trestle to call it perfect, but doing all that would make it pretty dang great.

As for the theater vs. the river, I could have sworn it holds more people, and if not, at the very least it gives more people a better viewing area.
