Not as bad as taking the "auctioning" sequence out alltogether i guess.... the boats were quite backed up when i went (well into the burning town)... my only complaint

I think it looks awful. They have ruined another part of the MK. No trees, no planters, no shade, no benches ... all for a very watered down show from Tokyo (that is at its best at night, right TDLFAN?) that will only play for 18 months. Walkways? Well, Al Weiss told the O-Sentinel that the walkways were cleaned every night last year in response to the 'This Old Park' story and we KNOW AL NEVER LIES!

That may change once they finish their redesigned hub.

Disney is putting in a meet-and-greet where the subs once surfaced. That's it. Maybe in 5-10 years, something else will go there. But nothing has been remotely approved ... all I see is water and trees being removed, which makes the MK feel even hotter than it is with the Florida sun beating down. Main Street feels naked to me now (in addition to feeling like an outlet mall gone bad). And, VBDAD, considering what the Red Sox did, I think the Cubs might well win the Series before a true replacement for the sub lagoon is built!

If they had closed to subs to put a meet and greet on, it would be different. But i see the meet and greet as taking over an abondoned area rather than a ride. Plus, keep in mind the meet and greet is taking up a VERY small portion of the avaliable space.

We all knew the Subs were never coming back so why would we want the lagoon to continue to sit empty? Whether or not we get a new attraction right away, we're still one step closer than we were a few years ago.

Also, I know it id because of the young trees, but it is really sad that you can see the Toontown tents from the 20K area. I know it will get better with time, but they could have also just put in older trees. And the garden area looks really exposed. They sould either plant more flowers or put down mulch or something. It is very delapitated looking.

I knew they had taken it 'down' for a rebuild - but I thought when it re-opened it was to have all parts working again ?

Great job, Phil Holmes. Maybe you'll get a $50,000 bonus this year .... wait, this is Disney, maybe you'll get $3,000!
