I'm more worried about being locked up in an American prison for following the law (and fighting those who don't) then I am of ever winding up in a Chinese prison (although I am convinced just typing these words puts us on the NSA radar!)

    EXACTLY!

<<If they would just get everything working, put up some blackout curtains, and it's a strong E, in my opinion. The queue can make or break an attraction, and EE's is one of the best. EE is stunning, and a visual enhancement to the entire park. That's Expedition Everest, not our own EE. Though I'm sure he does enhance the Park with his presense. That is when he takes the time to show up!)>>

I dunno ... too many trees and live icky things!... He'd rather ride a fiberglass elephant than see a real one!

<<I know. I do that. But after about half a day, you want to ride a few more things.

Same with WS... Love it to death, I have spent all day there (EPCOT only trips are amazing.) but when in a theme park, I want to ride more than 3 rides. Good thing FW is there. >>

I worry when even the smart fanbois would rather ride 'rides' than take in the entirety of a theme park experience.

What's scary is when the fanbois turn 37 and they still only want to ride Space Mountain and PoC 12 times a day!

I could spend the entire vacation there, and never get on one ride.

Why not do both? That's what I do, anyway.

You could be in Kruger or any other game park - and in fact probably can see more wildlife than on a real game drive."

I guess I phrased it wrong when I said thin shallacking. I would actually prefer KS without the uber-contrived storyline. I think it would have been better with a stronger more informative spiel about the problems being faced on the Preserves and African wildlife. Kind of a real live version of the True Life Adventures series. And less like a movie script.
Don't get me wrong I really like KS, but I think the story actually detracts from what could be an exciting and more educational attraction. I think this is a great case where the attraction itself should be the star.

It's something new, and that's needed in WDW when we don't have a ton of new attractions opening up.

New, being the operative word, of course.

The story is too contrived. The "safari guide" aka bus driver job is like a poor man's Great Movie Ride hosting job. Complete with "acting" (or should that be "hamming") and simulated "suspense."

Nature doesn't have to be an adventure. It's quite enough without the theatrics.

Because there is already a Florida theme park that does that. It would have felt too "Busch-y".

I've read reports that the motion floor is used a lot in EO.

Isn't that the entire reason they built the park? Too much money going to Busch Gardens and NOT into Disney's pocket?

When is Disney's Marine Park built entirely of Legos being built?

The few times I've been to EE I'll ride once with a FP then the next time I ride I'll take my time and look through the queue.

Nope that isn't the reason which is why DAK isn't a clone of Busch Gardens. The motivation behind DAK had nothing to do with a need or desire to out-do Busch in Tampa. There aren't that many overarching themes for theme parks...

I wish they would drop the poachers storyline all together and somehow get more animals into the last section of the ride.

KS's forced "story" keeps it form reaching perfection.
