Now, by addings Donald Duck and his friends and changing the name to 'Gran Fiesta Tour' -- it's now 'right' for Disney's California Adventure? In what way? The boat ride, whether the original or the new overlay, is about Mexico, not California. And besides, to drop a 25 year old ride into California Adventure, is, in my opinion, exactly what that park does not need. DCA needs new, fresh, original attractions.

Originally Posted By jmuboy "And you're right; realistically neither version has nothing to do with CA." Sir XS - that was a double negative - "neither has nothing" - so that was either a clever dig at the immigration situation in CA or a grammatical mistake..... ;-)

So, the original attraction had kind of a dual identity thing going on...was it dark and mysterious, or fiestas and fun? The new Gran Fiesta Tour version looks to have corrected that and the attraction actually seems more cohesive (in my opinion). The whole thing seems more light and airy now, much more in keeping the the second half of the original version. I'll miss the old song, but generally, I'm impressed with the makeover.
Originally Posted By gurgitoy2 "If they give you the choice, buy Saludos Amigos instead. It is the better of two films by a wide margin." I disagree. I liked Three Caballeros much better. It was more cohesive, and had a more stylized look. Saludos Amigos was more about the shorts than actually trying to tie them together. I guess "wide margin" is one person's opinion, just like my opinion to disagree.
