If you remember, there USED to be a villians float in that parade (with Gideon, Snow White's Witch, Cruella DeVille, and Malifecent) which was cut. It was cut because Mr. Kagami didn't care for it, from what I heard.

No wonder our entertainment at TDR has taken a hit lately. >>Witches there is always a semi-naked Tarzan that swings onto stage in the Golden Mickeys<< Oh yes Leemac.. (swoon! Schwing!!) That Tarzan was gorgeous!! I want him in my Disney Room as part of my collection... Then those two fire twirlers in Lion King.... <--getting the vapors. >> why the F'%$ is Marie so popular in Japan, and now China?<< Since Marketing said so.

But we have a question for you about it, now. Is it the exact same show that we saw on the Ship? Or has it been altered? We were wondering because--by the look of the Poster--it seems to feature characters that were a part of the version WE saw. For instance, the version we got to see had segements featuring the following classics: Snow White & the 7 Dwarves, Tarzan, Mulan, Sleeping Beauty, 101 Dalmatians, Lady & the Tramp, Toy Story, The Lion King, Hercules and Pocahontas. But the poster we noticed for Hong Kong's GOLDEN MICKEY's has Beauty & the Beast on it. So they must have at least added that classic to the line up at some point. Yet the ship version did not have Beauty & the Beast as a part of their GOLDEN MICKEY's stage show.

Then the show changes totally. What they did was quite nice IMO even though both my chinese neighbors to my right and left were falling asleep thur the show, I thought it was a TDL worthy show (that's high praise from me!!) However, most of it is in cantonese..so we english speakers loose a bit of the action, but still..it's a very nice show in a huge theater that has church style long chairs with backrest rather than individual pulldown seats. As for Lee's comments about Lion King.. I thought it was an improvement over DAKs but still thrilling and very colorful. I loved the way they drive the floats onto the stage and rotate them. Give the show a whole new feel... And those two fire twirlers got me heat turned. >:O Needless to say.. The shows (and especially the fireworks) did NOT disappoint.

Of these I figure floats 5, 7-9 are original HKDL DOP (Disney on Parade) floats, the rest are taken (inspired by) the original at TDL. #5 looks like the one from TDL's "Dreams on Parade" Castle. Also, I don't think the TDL float had show stops either. In any case, I like the new parade. The music is good too. I never meant to say that this one was subpar, as you may know, I liked to original too. Hopefully, I'll be there in November to watch it in person. -- MagicalNezumi
