As for spending oodles of money for the castle room, I could definately see it staying pretty full (I know I would do it at least once in my life if it could be done).

    A poorly conceived one IMHO.

And, even though I'd love to stay there, I don't think it ever should have been built. There have been talks of turning the apartment space into something like this for decades and they were all thrown out due to logistical concerns/issues.

The biggest one, and the one you can't get around, is that you're essentially holding people captive in a suite in the middle of a theme park where a lot of work (including construction, pyro tests, music checks etc ...) are held at 3 a.m.

It's nice to take the concept out and think 'wouldn't it be kewl?' but the reality is something else.

And I doubt very much this unit will have be rented out, as greedy as Disney is. The current plans are for it to be used for execs and VIPs.

And I think we need to question this weird idea that the park after-hours is some sort of war zone that people would be lucky to escape alive from. I mean, I'm sure they'd prefer you didn't walk around in the park after hours, but the idea that people have to be padlocked in the castle for their own safety is ridiculous.

As for being "locked in"... I don't think it will feel like that. You'll have a Host that is awake, and available to you, at ALL hours of the evening. Just pick up the phone, and the Host is at your service. If you're feeling closed in, you can be escorted out of the park for a while (I was told this by a Disney source close to me). As well, they will allow you to take a walk very close to the Castle itself, escorted I'm sure. They truly don't want someone who will use that privilege to go "in and out" all night, but they will accommidate if needed.

All n all, don't image you going in the suite, then getting an evil laugh from your Castmember Host as you hear the door slam and all these locks clicking on the other side. It won't be like that at all.

As we all know, there are Castmembers ALL over the park, all night. So, you won't feel completely alone. The windows are fogged out (which I think is a bummer), but you'll see lights and motion all night as the Magic(tm) happens around the MK at night.

Peace and Disney to all! 8):)

Did I miss something? Is there a competition? Where do I sign up?

Just to clarify a little misstatement as Doctor Marsh would say: the suite is going to continue beyond the Year of a Million Dreams promotion and will continue to be a random drawing for guests and guests only.

I wish they would have the children's bed in another room...makes it hard for the adults to enjoy their night 100%, if you follow me.
