The outfits have always seemed rather fancy for the job (especially considering the not-so-royal surroundings in the giant tent), but I guess that's what you get when the Entertainment department is running the whole thing on its own. The same costumes are used on occasion for DL's herald trumpeters. They're most often seen during the Candlelight Processional, on top of Main Street Station, but have shown up at special events through the years on the castle balcony as well. They were wearing that costume long before PFF existed.

Anyone under 20 probably doesn't even know who those things are anymore.

I guess a Hawaiian print shirt is a slight step up from a polo, but they're quite similar to me.
