I hear that Mythica is best viewed in person. Maybe you should... oh, never mind.

Lame excuse Dennis dear. You only need 3-4 days for TDR, and the rest of Japan's must see places can be done in a week and a half. Of course... since your jaw will drop huge time when you see TDS' theming (makes DAK look like minor leagues).. you will probably want to stay at TDR at least 5 days.

Anyways denny... I will late you know about G-Fan's and I's latest disaster at home shortly.

I'm afraid Irish Fan, that is pretty standard for the US. That's why I opt to live in the UK. I like my 25 - 30 days off a year!

That is crazy! Not sure about here in Australia, but full time employee back home in Ireland recieves a minimum of 20 days off a year.

There's also no mandated time off or even extra pay for working on national holidays. Also, there's no entitlement to sick pay, although most employers provide at least some of it.

Pretty much the only things guaranteed by law are a minimum hourly wage (which would put a full-time worker barely above the poverty line, and then so only if they were single) and the right to overtime pay if you work more than 8 hours/day or 40 hours/week in a low-wage job (and of course things like certain workplace safety rules). There's no right to sick pay, vacation time, a retirement or pension plan, or health insurance. It's pretty rough on the low-skill worker as far as minimum standards go compared to most first world countries. Opportunity abounds, but often at the cost of not having a safety net.

    Yes. We suck.

What is worse is I work for a French owned company (I love the French) and THEY get all the time off AND a 36 hour work week.

We have two weeks to start and a 40-50 work week. We are told upon hiring we are expected to work overtime. A min of 5 hours per week.

We get three weeks vacation at the beginning of our 6th year and four weeks after completely our 12th yr of work.

We also get holidays like Christmas, New Years, Thanksgiving, Easter, Labor Day, Memorial Day and one other.

So .. I take my 10 days vacation and use one or two tacked on to a weekend or piggybacked on an already given holiday to get the most of our time off.

We really never get real "downtime". As soon as we get to feel relaxed, it's over - back to work.

    I want a european schedule !!!

TDLFAN - I just wrote you back. <<< BIG HUGS and stay strong >>>>
