But in a way there are parallels. TRON is about liberation and economic gains. So there are some similarities.

Anything major happening is to far in the future to get people excited about it. There are still changes, and events taking place daily, but there does seem to be a lack of interest in posting here.

<<Funny, that's exactly what the Republicans were saying about the Democrats just a few years back.>>

I honestly don't recall that, except as rhetoric.

The GOP has moved so far to the right that everyone who wants to rationally discuss things (like healthcare) and who refuses to refute absurd claims (everything from death panels to Obama not being an American etc) are lost. The rational voices are either being shouted out or not speaking at all.

I dunno what the answer is. I do feel the time has long since passed where we need a viable third (and even fourth party).

I agree with a lot of things on both sides and disagree with a lot on both sides. But I am scared over all the violent rhetoric spewing forth from the TeaParty movement and sickened by the fact no one in power in the GOP is really condemning that.

I'm sure this will be one of the major themes in Tron Legacy!

Oh, and while I really don't want to turn this into WE (although I'm glad some folks are reading and posting again), someone did forward the following to me and I thought it made some great points about the GOP:

    Amazing woman, really.

She almost stole The Proposal from Sandra Bullock, not an easy task. And she's an absolute hoot in her guest spots on Craig Ferguson's show.

    Can I answer this?

Wait, you're supposed to be my minion of evil, Disney exec hating and spreader of the word of Stalin! Of course I can.

I think he hasn't done it for two reasons:

    1.) he's afraid that if he attempts to that he'll be attacked for weakening us in our 'war on terror' and;

2.) I would guess there's been a huge (see Waco and Oklahoma City) rise in our own homegrown groups of wackos who want to 'take America back' and he thinks he may need to use some of it.

Either way, that needs to be burned.

A Prez -- any Prez -- doesn't get to ignore/trample our Constitution under any pretenses.

Something that was wrong (horribly so) under the last dude, isn't suddenly kewl under the new one.

<<Also, I hate to tell you this but most of the people that voted for the Health Care Bill backed that abomination of a Patriot Act also. It was very much a bipartisan bill. If I'm not mistaken Obama has a Secretary of Homeland Security also.>>

We know what went down then. We were living in a mood of pervasive fear. We had been attacked. Folks were sending anthrax in the mail. People were trying to light explosives in shoes on airliners etc.

You could have likely passed internment camps for Muslims, too.

Our entire federal government failed us terribly then. Just like they did in the lead up to 9/11 when if someone had just put 2+2 together we could have avoided one of the most tragic days in our nation's history.

    >> Oh, and cool Tronorail. :D <<

<<Does TDL or TDS do anything like this. Just curious.>>

I don't think so ... but I do bet they actually clean their track more than once in 25 years.

Well, there isn't much going on at WDW to get the blood pumping ... but I was told today that we can expect a MAGICal guy to start adding his two cents worth (OK, with him, maybe a nickel) here soon.

    Maybe that will help ...

He is very excited about the new meet-greet-and-gropes coming to MK. You should see him twirl like Cinderella becoming a princess! ;-)

Once again I call on clear cut examples of the hate. Do you really believe some left wing blog is a good example of anything? I could go find some right wing idiots blog to counter that. I just want actual facts not rhetoric.

I can sit here and say the same thing about the left, and give you examples, but it serves no purpose. And I think there are a lot very good, patriotic, and caring Democrats out there. However when it comes to the far left, we are totally seperated by our ideology on certain issues.

Neither do I. That's why I'm dropping it until the next time politics enters the arena. I only respond. I never instigate. I would much rather put down....I mean discuss WDW.

That is great to hear. He has some of the best info as well as insight on WDW on the net.

I'll even overlook the fact that he is not a big fan of Epcot.

If only you could get TDLFAN posting again. I know it's a lost cause, but still.
