Fantasmic is nice because everyone sits and even little kids can usually see fine from where they are. Hopefully WoC works the same.

So since this is likely one of the earlier run-throughs they're probably going to focus on making sure each segment is looking right (reviewing videos, etc.. running it again with modifications, lather rinse repeat.. ) Then next maybe tackle linking the segments? I will say, there's a lot of show there and the animations they presented implied a much slower paced show - something more akin to molasses.. so this seems much more energetic in the bits I've seen.

Originally Posted By yamabuki No, that is not the correct sequence. The show will closely follow the outline that Steven went through at the D23 Expo. This show in the video is basically a preview of sorts - shown to the suits to give them a progress report of how things are going.. it was more of a demo detailing some of the segments in the show. The Spring Sprite/Pocahontas scene will come right after the opening, then Heimlich and April Showers, etc. Not to mention the scenes that are missing like Alice in Wonderland (Garden scene, Card March, Cheshire Cat)
Originally Posted By DlandDug >>The show will closely follow the outline that Steven went through at the D23 Expo.<< Again, where do you get your info from? I see you are new to these boards. Welcome. I hope you will stop over in Community and introduce yourself. Steve Davison did an extensive presentation last July, which is archived on LP here: http://www.laughingplace.com/L...-923.asp I don't know how this differs from the D23 presentation. But it does differ from what is seen in the video from April 6. Here is an outline of the show as described by Davison in July. 1. Intro/World of Color Tinker Bell introduces a quote from Walt Disney, and interacts with "Little Squirt" 2. The Colors of the Earth(The Magical Forest) Spring Sprite from Fantasia 2000 Just Around the Riverbend/Colors of the Wind from Pocahontas April Showers Heimlich from A Bug's Life 3. The Colors of Wonderland Alice in Wonderland sequence with paper animation 4. The Colors of the Sea Part of Your World/Under the Sea from Little Mermaid Surfing the EAC with Crush A "secret" transition (Dory's whale talk) Pines of Rome from Fantasia 2000 5. The Colors of the Sky Diana from Fantasia Define dancing with Wall-E and EVE A "secret" transition To Infinity and Beyond with Buzz Lightyear and the Andy's room gang (on a "bed" made of water, or a "water bed") Up A Whole New World from Aladdin Eclipse of the moon 6. The Colors of Fear Dr. Facilier from Princess and the Frog Esmeralda from Hunchback of Notre Dame The Firebird from Fantasia 2000 "Drum sequence" Chernabog from Fantasia Stampede from The Lion King 7. World of Tears Mufassa and Simba So Close from Enchanted Disney couples Transformation from Beauty and the Beast Disney transformations A million points of light Tinker Bell presents a final quote from Walt Finale There are some ommissions, notably the Alice sequence and any mention of Little Squirt. There is also a major sequence (Pirates of the Caribbean) that is not described, although I suppose it could be one of the "secret" transitions. Since the show is described as "25 minutes long," and that is almost exactly how long the presentation of April 6 was, it seems unlikely there will be any more major sequences to add to the length. Again, can anyone provide any concrete support for the assertion that this is just some sort of hodge podge of random sequences, as opposed to the form this show will likely be taking?

There should be quite a few transitions in there, as I think Steve Davidson talked about having strains of the WoC theme being used through the whole show.

When you consider the highest water effects were around 160 ft, the lowest have to be at least 10-15 ft high. Add in the fact that the viewing area is tiered into 4 sections, with each section higher then the previous by about 3 feet, you should still be able to find a spot farther back that will still give you a good view.
