Hi, All! I've had a lot of fun relaying your stuff!

This is just a little thing, and I quite possibly shouldn't even bother you with it, but I've got this neurotic need for disclosure and if I don't acknowledge this it's going to bug me. So indulge me, please.

Some of you Secret Pals were so on top of things that you sent several wrapped and ready-to-go gifts to me in one big box, with instructions that I send them out over time. Well, I've done this mailing thing for several years now, and I have even run some research experiments on how well various packages withstand the brutality of the Postal system, and... Some of your packages didn't seem sturdy enough to me. So I repackaged the stuff into bigger, stronger, and/or fluffier containers.

Which means that if you RECEIVED stuff from me, the packaging might not really contain the clues you thought you found.

Also, when I used the original sender's packaging, I sometimes added stickers or something to make it look a little cheerier.

And a couple of times I thought the sender's handwriting was a little sloppy so I re-did the label.

Okay, okay, a few times I saw the cards you had written to your Pal and I realized that you could have expressed yourself better so I replaced it with one of my own cards on which I wrote what you REALLY meant to say.

One of the benefits for me doing this for so many people -- many of whom I know personally -- is that I can look at the stuff that was sent and know whether or not it is a good choice for the recipient. In many cases it has NOT been. But no problem -- viola! -- since I know so many of the intended recipients, I have just "traded" prizes between them. (Well, okay, okay, there was one Pal whose stuff I gave away and didn't have anything to replace it with, but that's the exception.)

Like I said, no biggie. I probably shouldn't even have bothered posting this. But thanks for reading.

I'm mailing out lots of stuff. If you receive something from me, check to see if it says "REVEAL GIFT: DO NOT OPEN!" one the box. If it doesn't, tear into it!

I'm confident that all Reveal Gifts I mail will be clearly marked, but not so confident that I'll remember to write "Open me already!" on all the NON-Reveal gifts.
