When I was still living in Murrieta, we had Dish Network. Then a good while later after discovering their series of music channels to listen to (on the tv), we eventually discovered we had SIRIUS on there as well. So I began listening to SIRIUS 71 the Jazz Cafe everyday. We had the vcr hooked up to the stereo, so I could just turn off the tv, have the vcr and stereo on, and just enjoy crystal clear jazz music through the speakers as if it were on the radio - just sound, no tv. So not before long I learned of other fine smooth jazz recording artists like Mindi Abair, Kim Waters, David Benoit (only heard about him from my Dad), Peter White and Craig Chaquico (even though they only have a couple hits I like). Mindi Abair is really good as is David Benoit. Dave Koz is good too, my Dad likes Jim Brickman. Keiko Matsui had some good ones too my folks really liked and had a cd of hers. Others I've heard for even just one or two good hits: the late Grover Washington Jr., Steve Cole, Steve Oliver, Chieli Minucci, Slash (former Guns N' Roses guitarist), Gerald Albright, Paul Taylor, Paul Hardcastle, David Sanborn, Jeff Kashiwa, Jeff Lorber - infact I just looked the collection I have on my pc lol and theres too many to name. As for groups, Pieces of a Dream and The Rippingtons are really good. Heheh, sorry. So yes the cd you sent me is wonderful! Thank you again! I love the Linus & Lucy piece by The Vince Guaraldi Trio. You have to hear David Benoit's version of it though. I just got it off iTunes the other day, love it. But the original is great too! Without it, how else would Benoit have had the inspiration to try it himself? Love Carol of the Bells by him though! What Child is This is another fave of mine, and of course all of them I think are even better listening when done instrumentally. Cool how you did the same graphics and logo on the cd too!
