Okay, my mommy lecture is done now. Congrats again, sweetie, and thank you so much for sharing this whole journey with us. Big hugs to you!

Towards the end of my pregnancy I was just too tired to clean the house and now I have all sorts of people wanting to come over so my mom has been cleaning too. Chris has also just been amazing! I knew he'd make a terrific dad but he's really surpassed all of my expectations! Not only was he completely involved and excited at the birth, he's been helping out tons at home too. And he gave me a pushing present, a gorgeous peridot (Jacob's birthstone) ring! We had our first doctor's appointment yesterday. I really liked the doc and he said Jacob looked wonderful. He's even gained two ounces since he was born! Our big struggle now is nursing. My milk hasn't come in so Jacob's not too into it yet. We have to suppliment with formula which I'm OK with, it's just a bit frustrating to finally have the OK to nurse with my medications and just not being able to. I'm still trying to get more pictures up, Epson just hasn't been cooperative lately, I'm gonna try again next time Jake's awake. For now, he's sleeping so I'm gonna get some rest!

Don't give up on nursing, I supplemented formula for my last one and it finally my milk came in and he did just fine making the switch to nursing.

To celebrate I had some cheesecake and a little bit of TGIFriday's mudslide (it will be out of my system by the next feeding, don't worry I won't get my kid drunk!) and we're all feeling much better! His cord fell off this morning too so his belly button is looking much better! I SOOOO love this kid!
