Our cats have a water dish by their food and if they are desperate, they will drink out of it but they rather prefer the cup that we keep on the edge of the tub. They let us know that it is low on water or empty by knocking into the bathtub and it makes a racket. I remember when ours were babies (they are now almost 2) but they are still really lovey. Our male is my cat and follows me all over the house. If I don't get home on time or have to work late, he sits at the garage and cries. He then goes to get my husband to let him know I am not home yet and wants to know why. He sleeps on my pillow still at night.
