For some reason, it took me forever to realize that the boats travel outside the showroom at the waterfall's edge, near the attraction's entrance. Never noticed until a few months ago although I've been riding for years. I can't comment on the movie because it's never playing whenever I visit. I disembark the ride, walk through the empty, lighted theater and enter the gift shop. I assumed they stopped playing the film.

They changed a couple of shots in the parade sequence to take out rulers on the balcony that were no longer in power. But yeah, the meat of the movie has been the same since it opened.
