Magic Lamp Theater replacing HISTA; thoughts

    It's sort of a combination of the two. It shows up as characters on the screen, but they are animated and voiced in real time, so it's not really using film in the traditional sense. Guests can text in their jokes while they wait in the queue, and then they are used in the show later, told by the monsters. The technology behind it is similar to Turtle Talk with Crush, but the next step up.

    Sully is not in the show because of he is furry and the technology just isn't there to get realistic looking fur motion without a lot of work by animators, and certainly not in real time. That's why the show features Mike and other reptile-like monsters, since their skin is easily rendered quickly.

    theres a guy on the other side of the screen who voices crush he then has a sound bored to animate the charecter to do certian things based on what he says. if you watch closley you can see his voice does not sync up always. Its part of the very exciting and always repetitive living charecter initiative.

    When the Submarine Voyage was built, the subs themselves were modeled after the U.S. Navy's latest nuclear boats. Walt was a big proponent of nuclear power, which was indeed futuristic for the 1950's.
