Maybe he could interview me, like some people were interviewed for the Yeti article? Yo, Garcia, ask anyone around here: I'm a bathroom expert!

We are into August and I have had only one visit to WDW this year. I can't tell you the last time that happened because I had to have been a teen if not younger ... and we all know it's been a while. Now, I did take my 14-night Magical cruise ... and I will be at DLR this month ... and at HKDL (and hopefully!) TDR (FINALLY!) later this year. But WDW is where I have spent the lion's share of my Disney Dollars over the decades and they simply aren't getting them now. The $4 in discounted chocolate covered espresso beans I picked up at my local WDW outlet store today isn't the same as dropping four grand on property in a week as I did in the past. ~They've lost me ... and $37 pizza ain't gonna get me back!~

Sorry you had such a wretched experience there ... and if you decide to share, we won't tell anyone ;-) ~They used to have pasta there!~

Its liberating to finally have arrived at this point. >> I certainly appreciate those sentiments. WDW truly is Four Stale Parks: One World. I came across this interview with Imagineers Tony Baxter and Kent Sheranian excerpted on Miceage and these two quotes sum up much of what I have been saying here for years: namely that TDO can get away with things in Orlando because of a largely bumpkin tourist demo that doesn't know any better vs. a higher caliber guest (or at least a smarter, savvier, worldier one) in the media/entertainment capital of the world. Here are the comments: <<Baxter: Our challenge, when we add things, is to make them appear naturally. The worst thing we could do is make it look like an intrusion on the environment, considering it has been so richly thought out and lovingly cared for over the past 55 years. Most of our rides and attractions happen indoors so we can control that environment and deliver the optimum experience to guests. But on the outside, we have to create something that’s always attractive, looks new, and fits into a particular atmosphere. Does it not only fit into Disneyland, but then does it fit in the logical subset of Fantasyland or Adventureland? These are things we ask ourselves a lot stronger in California, because there is that level we have to uphold not only for ourselves but also for a very discriminating audience. Sheranian: Our clientele here at this park is extremely discriminating. We get much more critical issues written up on the Internet for our part, because guests come and visit Disneyland multiple times in a year.>> ~Dumber in O-Town? You betcha!!!~

Refurb, I guess.
