"Alex and I want to grow old together, but we'd have to drive six hours just to get a mezzaluna at Restoration Hardware," said Mindlin, who claimed he "couldn't survive" without a strawberry frosted cupcake from Amy's Bread after yoga every Thursday. "And where would we summer? Dubuque? I think we'll just buy a townhouse and live in an unrecognized union with beautiful granite countertops instead." The couple told reporters that their plans to adopt also weighed heavily in the decision, since they want to raise a child who is healthy, balanced, and "not tacky."<<

WELL, on the first day of the show, that disgusting PIG Fred Phelps (yes, the same hate monger that pickets the funerals of soldiers, spitting the vile notion that they deserve to die because they are fighting for a country that is accepting of homosexuality) sent 8 of his family/idiot followers, to picket the high school as it was concluding its school day. All because this multi award winning work of contemporary art contains gay, lesbian and HIV positive characters. GUESS WHAT, while his 6 followers were on their little rant march across the street, approximately 50 parents.....AND THE ENTIRE STUDENT BODY.... were on school grounds with signs of equality and acceptance!!!!!!! I got very, very proud and a little teary eyed just driving by them and honking in support. (and the swim team out in their speedos were a complete surprise and treat! Can I be considered a dirty old man at 46?) LOL

It does nothing for understanding of either side when the best you can come up with is a random scripture that is completely out of context and given none. It comes across as if there's some kind of instruction in the "Mormon Handbook" that says please quote scripture y when in situation x and makes him seem less than the intelligent human being we know him to be. I wouldn't have agreed with him if he'd put forward a reasoned argument, but I might have respected it. It seems that the LDS faith is setting itself up to become a marginalized minority again. So sad.
