Leobloom, you have to be the most negative a$$whole on this site. Put you pants on and crawl out of you parents basement and (try to) enjoy some fresh air and sunshine ("worst poster ever")!

Just poking some fun at VBdad's multiple dramatic (false) exits.

Anyone who feels the need to announce they're leaving the site deserves a little ribbing.

    It's just a discussion board.

But if you're just jealous about the Tony Baxter drawings I have of the original design for the Imagination restrooms (Figments nose was the urinal handle, FYI), then cheer up! There's enough pixie dust to go around! (Especially if you'll fork over a few hundred dollars for .jpegs of these exclusive Imagineering images.)

That's what they want you to believe.

Oh, dear. I've been telling people on my tours the wrong information. I thought his head was hidden beneath the Pirates restrooms? 3disneylocations, can you please confirm or deny? Accuracy is very important to me.

Which goes into your issue, SJHYM, if they don't have to compete as hard, they don't need push as hard in giving their guests something new and exciting to see.

    I agree in full.

I don't care what Disney does in the resort business, save for the Poly.

I do care, however about attractions, and upkeep, and entertainment.

If they do much of one thing without the other, it's a problem.

I mean, if WDW were in pristine condition, and they were still building tons and tons and tons of DVCs... I wouldn't bat an eye.

I wish someone would give Iger a swift kick in the pants and get him to understand that building attractions at WDW is good business in the long term for WDW.

What causes that guest who just spent $3K to come back next time and spend $4K?

I know I am a broken record here, but I do believe that the "dvc effect" is a huge issue between efforts made between DL and WDW. It's not so simple as just to say that DL is local so end of discussion. DL gets quite a bit of out of area visits in its own right.

Money is what makes the Disney go round, after all.

Leemac, who understands finance far better than this Spirit, has said as much. There's a certain amount of capital given to WDW to spend on new projects. I don't want to misspeak, but basically DVC developments (and all hotel/resorts) take cash away that could be spent elsewhere.

And from a practical/common sense POV, how can anyone look at WDW's infrastructure situation and think simply adding more timeshares and standard hotel rooms is a smart idea except as a very short term bounce to the bottom line?
