That's a terrible idea, but just to push the terrible concept further, FP's could be a free gift with a qualifying purchase.

Disney has always been good with queues. Lines that are controlled, entertaining, and that move continuously, no matter how long they might be. You were always moving forward.

The thing that FP has changed about this is that the FP line is in view of the Standby line. And that the Standby line now does this "move a little -- stop a while -- move a little -- stop a while" thing.

(whatever it takes to defeat FP)

They could print a coupon on the fastpass itself that offers a major discount at a certain dinning or retail location. They could have the coupon expire once the person uses the fastpass. This could encourage people to spend money while their waiting for their time to come.

Does WDW give discounts on merchandise? Aside from Apers? This would probably cause them to LOSE money if you figure how many FP are distributed in a day.

It seems that it would be better to get 90% of something than 100% of nothing.

It also makes the line FEEL 10X longer, and is 10X more difficult to stand in than a constantly moving line that actually feels like you're getting somewhere. Oh how i wish we could have those days back at ride slike Buzz Lightyear, Splash Mountain, and Peter Pan....

Very true. The constant motion is important.
