I don't disagree with this, but it wouldn't be the first time that Disney plopped something down where it's incongruous with it's immediate surroundings. Splash Mountain at WDW (wedged in the middle of a southwestern themed section of Frontierland) and the Matterhorn (right next to a tropical coral reef) come to mind. With all that said, I do like the look of the pier in that altered image without it.

If I heard a cool attraction, maybe I'd understand, but in the meantime, If it aint broke, dont fix it. I am in the parks often and for all those who have the all or nothing approach of "I dont care rip it out no matter what" I wonder if you consider the direct correlation to why parking is 14 dollars and admission is almost 100. Everything has a cost and I cannot get on the bandwagon for wasteful spending with no real value.

I do see the clash with the "retro" version of Paradise Pier - the Victorian theme. For that reason, it does need to go.

I would rather see them build like a parchute drop ride here, tear out jumpin jellyfish and golden zephyer. the idea of building a park there seems bad as it is right under the coaster and can't really be tranquil, plus tearing out the zephyer and jellys would clear out more viewing area for WoC

Since most of the PP rides are rethemed to classic disney cartoons you could make it look like a tree and Chip n Dale and you help them gather acorns on the ground and take them up the tree.
Originally Posted By Dr Hans Reinhardt "Exactly what level of quality do you hold Disney theme parks to?" I guess I don't get why the term "Disney Park" has to be so strict and absolute. Yes, there are standards, but you can't just say that Maliboomer has no place in a Disney theme park without substantiating why. It fit the theme of the pier and while the storytelling around the base of the attraction should have been executed a bit more thoroughly I never felt like it shouldn't have been there. A better argument could be made against the awful Rockin Rollercoaster attraction at DSP. It's probably the lamest E ticket ride ever conceived at WDI and flat out boring. Imagine riding on a roller coaster in an empty warehouse with the lights turned off and you've experienced the DSP verison of Rockin Rollercoaster. On another note I'd take this removal with a grain of salt until it's been confirmed by Disney. Even then you might want to wait until somebody posts some pictures of it being dismantled before popping the champagne.
