With the coaster surrounding you, along with the other sights and sounds in the area, it's not like either the Maliboomer or Screamin' queues are completely devoid of thematic atmosphere.

Partly because of what it hides - the nice view you used to have of "Grauman's" down the entrance street, which was a nice vista, now ruined. They could, I suppose, theme it to "steampunk" or "industrial-age" (which Victorian was, very much so), but for the more genteel version of the Victorian look they're going for, it doesn't work at all.

I'm glad they don't go only for thrills, lots of places do that, and then it ends up lasting for 30 seconds and you're ready to leave.
