That's good to hear, bean. I'll still feel a whole lot better when I see signs of real work (and I obviously am not including TSMM in this).

What about WDW? I have heard they are more cautious about things in FLA because of how dependent they are on flyers and people that drive long distances vs. DL's huge built-in audience.

<<Even projects like the removal of Muppets is still being worked on and that is a fairly new idea. Once you get passed the intial influx of DCA's changes things might be slowed down a bit but there is plenty of people within the halls of Burbank and WDI see the need for the continued future of the resort.>>

Yeah. But $5 a gallon gas could severly alter those plans. And what happens when we get the first tropical storm of the year and speculators drive the price of oil to $200 a barrel?

I'm just very concerned. More for our country than for future Disney projects. But one is clearly going to affect the other.

One thing that people here need to understand is that Disney's parks are not the biggest piece of the revenue pie like they once were. Advertising from ESPN, for example, generates more revenue than all of Disney's theme parks worldwide combined. Therefore, if Disney wants to see long term growth at its parks and resorts it has no choice but to continually add to them in some form or another. The company stated from the outset that DCA was designed with expansion in mind so a build out is going to happen sooner or later regardless of economic conditions. It's inevitable.
