Mandatory Christmas carols in public schools?

    I am always amused when people consider Christmas trees religious symbols. I celebrate both the religious aspect of Christmas and the secular Santa and presents aspect. I would not want a public school to have a nativity scene or anything, but a tree?

    As far as songs go, my kids had a Winter Concert and they sang some recognizable songs like Frosty the Snowman and Walking in a Winter Wonderland but most of the ones they sang I have never even heard of. One was about hot chocolate, one was about mittens and gloves, etc. I do find it kind of sad that they can't sing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. I don't recall flying reindeer with red noses being part of the religious Christmas story. I must have just missed that part.
