Kim, can you please share any details in the board about the size of the piece, price, release date or other info? Nothing appears on the Disney store website ... perhaps someone can ASK Kevin and Jody when they are at the Disneyland Gallery this weekend? I will not be able to be there, but surely SOMEONE here can ask and post ... thanks!

I guess they think Doobie and Co. should censor anti Disney opinions. Maybe DCA should no longer allow Laughing place Coverage of DCA, cause goodness knows someone here has said something negative about DCA. You know since the Disney Catalog was discontinued I garauntee that my purchases with Disneyshopping have dropped by 90%. I simply don't have the interest in browsing the website, and yet I spend several hours a day online. I found out about all of the 50th merch through LaughingPlace and while I would have seen it in the catalog (still around at that time), knowing it was coming ahead of time helped me plan and budget for it. Whatever.

Before we left Disney I was able to get this model to approved sculpted completion and provided the vendor with a paintmaster to follow during production. I do have several images of the first prototype (sans decals) and will "sneak" them into the singing this Saturday at the Disney Gallery. If you are interested and able, stop on by to gawk and gander. What the Disney catalog decided to do with edition sizes, retail and quantities ordered was all decided after my departure so I'm sorry I won't be able to answer any of those questions. Thanks Kim for writing the article and if you can please send me a copy. I'm dying to find out what happens to my career see you this weekend, Jody

I hadn't been into that part of the gallery since the space was truncated to make room for Club 33 storage and it's a bit claustrophobic. But, both Kevin and Jody were full of new information - unfortunately I can't share very much quite yet - let's just say that as a Mickey, Maleficent and 20,000 Leagues fan - among other things - I'm starting a rather sizable savings account before 2008 rolls around. And there's another of Jody's Beyond the Berm paintings that's going through the Disney approval process before it can be shared - very cute and very cool and just a little twisted - my kind of art. I'll have it on my wall as it's my favorite twisted Disneyland attraction with my favorite twisted Disneyland creatures - I can't wait! I love to visit with two of my favorite guys and my wallet always loves to visit with the parents of the stuff it will be emptied for. And I love to see the enthusiasm for the product that keeps these two creating - it's completely contagious. Both have been working pretty much non-stop on different projects and both can't wait to let us all know - so keep an eye and an ear out as I'll share as soon as I can. Kevin promised images as soon as they were available - I'll let you know where I post them. Those who create and market limited edition brand collectables is a rarified community at the core and they're still workng with some of the very same vendors and companies they worked with when they were cast members - so - it's a small world after all. (OK - so, I couldn't help myself) As to the Twain, I asked about the size and Jody held his hands out sorta this big by this big - from my guess it's going to be about 10-inches by 14-inches with the base - as to the release date, the edition and the price that was all decided after they left - so anyone's guess goes. It's the last piece of their 50th merchandise and the last collectable Disneyshopping has control of - we shall see. Keep the faith and start saving right NOW! Kim KPetersenNFFC@aol.com
