This sounds so not fun or interesting. Unless it's Streetmosphere characters from the Entertainment.

At least it's only until April. The stuff for the railroads and the boats on the Rivers of America will be at this for a lot longer.

My primary park is WDW. I HATED when Epcot's Horizons closed, when the original Journey Into Imagination was changed, and when my good friend The Toad was banished from the MK. But it didn't give me nearly the distress and agony that rumored changes give DLfan85.

I guess that is the difference between a park you attend once or twice a year at most and one that you attend on a monthly basis.

No, but they mentioned that if the Mark Twain has a tea time thing with characters, and it's successful and makes money, that will be the death of the Mark Twain in it's normal use.

I also fell in love with the Columbia on my last trip. I finally stepped aboard ship and thought o my god what have I been missing?!!! Since I had never been below decks on that boat, I spent most of the voyage looking at the crew's quarters and the cookstove with giant bellows. I love the Columbia!!! Don't take it away!!!!

Both boats are essential for Fantasmic. You take even one of them away forever, and you can't have the show. And we must have the show. No matter what.

What is interesting about some speculation posted today on another site is the idea that the Twain will have its limited time elements at Fowler's Harbor and the Columbia will be at Frontierland Pier (as the sign at the dock area calls it).

The Twain is only accessible at its main deck level, and there is no Guest access route to the lower level at Fowler's Harbor.

The Columbia is only accessible at its main deck level, which is approximately the height of the upper level at Fowler's Harbor.

It doesn't take much thinking to realize that a problem it will be if the semi-permanent docking is planned to be with the Twain at Fowler's Harbor . . . but, as with all other things, only time will tell.

    Forever?

I'm sure this is the minority opinion, but after close to a quarter century of the same Fantasmic show, I'm ready for something else. I'd also be fine with nothing at all. I miss being able to take a night time cruise on the Mark Twain, or just being able to walk through New Orleans Square at night without navigating ropes and a sea of people.

    This please. This. Please.

It would be nice to be able to walk through New Orleans Sq. again at night without first giving my family a hug and telling them how much I love them because we will likely be separated in the mass of crowds and never see each other again.

Seriously, IMO the constant parades and shows are, well, bad show. Giant crowds huddled over a huge area of the park is not pleasant. Cast members waving you along a roped area when you just want to go right over there but instead have to circle around for 10 minutes...no. Fantasmic is a good show. The disruption to the parks to put on that show is bad enough to get rid of it.
