Sometimes, I wonder what goes inside the heads of Disney marketing. << >> I'm 10000% sure that CM was talking out of his butt. Disney cannot use Marvel in WDW. << And that's saying it politely. That is one of the most far fetched rumors I've ever heard about WDW.

It couldn't be to crappy if it's drawing the folks in. I would bet money that the majority of folks at WDW don't have a clue about the technology involved in the 2 rides.

That is, judging the park for its immersive and long omnimover attractions, which is my thing. Still, just BEING at Epcot was.......how can I describe it......it was AWE INSPIRING. EC opened when I was 12 and a HUGE science fiction fan. I remember DEVOURING that three part opening day special that(IIRC)David Hutchison wrote for Starlog magazine. To say I was OBSESSED with the place was like saying Walt Disney was an innovator. In fact, when we landed in Orlando and got our car, we immediately drove to WDW(even though we were staying off property)and THE FIRST PLACE I drove to was Epcot. We hadn't bought our AP yet and we planned to go straight back to the hotel for a sleep(it was about 8:00am), but I just HAD to be near Epcot. Seeing SE in the distance and then(since it was so early and the lot was pretty much empty), being able to drive straight up to it.......WOW......the memories of how I felt that humid Florida morning are all coming back to me now. It was like a pilgrimmage for me......strike that, it WAS a pilgrimmage. To a part of my life way back in 1982, to a boy who marvelled at geodesic domes and glass pyramids and sleek monorails whooshing overhead. EC WAS that science fiction city where people flew overhead in cars and SCIENCE made ANYTHING possible. Epcot, even in its diminished 2001 state was one of my FAVOURITE parks in the whole world and I look forward to the day I will be able to return to it.
