I'm saying that if you haven't given this any more thought than "I think the characters would be cute," then you've not shown that you're qualified to talk about the creation and updating of theme park attractions. Believe it or not, there's a bit more to it than that.

Aladdin made me giggle. As did Donald Duck in the Sombrero.

I've been riding small world since probably before most of you were born, and have always enjoyed the ride, the message, and the history of the attraction. I'm as fully qualified as anyone else here to have an opinion about a classic Disney attraction. But because my opinion differs from yours, somehow I'm "not qualified" to even have an opinion? Ludicrous!
Originally Posted By jonvn "I've been riding small world since probably before most of you were born" Yeah? And I was riding it before it was open to the public. Guess I win. "But because my opinion differs from yours, somehow I'm "not qualified" to even have an opinion? " No. The point was that saying "it's cute" ignores what the addition of these characters means, how it changes the point of the ride, and how this problem is spreading throughout all the parks.

Originally Posted By jonvn "You're assuming that adding a Disney character here or there somehow changes the point of the ride" No, I'm not assuming it. It does do it. And, no, it's not an opinion. There is a reason people are saying this. It's been gone over several times now as to why it changes the ride.
