It's good -- because, well, a girl is sitting between your legs.

It's bad -- because it always seems as if her head is going to fly backward and smash me in the face.

^^^- sounds rather sexual, no? :)

I'd like to see your DH get into a smart car. I saw Pete Docter (who's about the same height) getting into his smart car once. It was reminiscent of a clown car act at a three-ring circus. 8^D

It would be about time. Make it a much safer attraction.

This will make everything much more obvious.
Trying to get two people who didn't understand English to try to sit in front of each other, rather than next to each other (talk about a tight squeeze!) could be challenge. Luckily we had a slower dispatch time and longer station to work with than on Space.

Don't know if that's true or not - just something I read somewhere on the web. It seems to make sense, though.

No more snuggling with your honey. The testing is just to check out the new cars, work out the kinks, and make sure that the new vehicles keep riders within the envelope of safety.

We won't see the new vehicles in operation anytime soon. However, when the attraction goes down for it's next annual refurbishment, the load area will receive newly configured safety gates to match with the new seating configuration and the new bobsleds should be introduced. The unload area will then receive new technology that will unlock the seat belts automatically. This will ensure that riders will "remain seated with their seat belt fastened" until they reach the unload area.

Though, as a reminder, with Disney, NOTHING is ever certain - even after it happens. This is just the current plan."

It was just sitting in one of the places where they store the unused cars, near the unloading area. It was covered so we couldn't be 100% sure that's what it was, but there were clearly 3 supports inside it that looked like the 3 seats in the pictures.

It will be interesting to see how this changes the ride. I suppose if it significantly reduces the loading time, they could end up running more bobsleds at a time. When they only had the single cars, I believe they still had the same total number of cars, which means they were dispatching twice as frequently. While I don't think that much of a boost will be possible, they probably could get a few more trains going.

And I don't know if it was just where I was sitting (the very front on both sides), but it seemed like the tracks were much smoother than I remember. I do ususally sit in the back, so that may have affected it, but it didn't seem to have that constant bumping that it usually does. I don't think they would have had enough time during this refurb to do anything major, so it may have just been my seat.
