The whole Bug's Land was much needed in California Adventure. However, at some point in the future when more kid-friendly attractions have popped up in other areas of the park, I would say that Bug's Land could conceivably be turned into two E-Tickets. The attraction that really just SUCKS is the NOT bumper cars. Just STUPID STUPID STUPID. The cars would move more quickly if you just farted a lot. They should serve huge plates of beans while you wait on line.

Given that time frame puts it during Pressler's reign, I would guess that the current paint job lasts back at least into the mid-90's. Yes, parts of it have been touched up (there was a refurbishment around 2006 when they had scaffholding up on all of the waterfalls, giving those areas a nice scrub-down), but the majority of the exterior hasn't been touched in a very long time.

I'm not even sure if the attraction had any downtime while they changed the wires. They had a temporary tarp covering the hole in the side of the mountain for a couple months before installing the rockwork door.
